Fox may have gotten a lot of flak for cancelling beloved series like The Last Man on Earth and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (which thankfully got saved a day later by NBC), but the network will be making up for it with a slew of new — and one old — shows in its upcoming fall 2018 season.

Following its Upfronts presentation, the network has released a new batch of Fox Fall 2018 TV trailers, including promos for comedies like The Cool Kids, Rel, and the resurrected Tim Allen sitcom Last Man Standing. Meanwhile, we also get a peek at midseason dramas like the promising The Passage and Proven Innocent, alongside a new installment of Cosmos.

Previously developed by Ridley Scott and screenwriter John Logan, the movie is now going to get a new script revision at the hands of Jason Keller. Just last week, Cloverfield and Let Me In director Matt Reeves signed to direct a new film based on the story 8 O’Clock in the Morning, which was once turned into the John Carpenter film They Live. Now he’s signed to adapt another prose property. This time it is Justin Cronin‘s novel The Passage, in which science accidentally creates a host of vampires that nearly wipe out mankind. Ridley Scott was once attached to direct, and he was a more obvious choice than Matt Reeves, whose films so far have told stories on a smaller scale than this.

Fox 2000 has signed screenwriter John Logan to adapt the Jordan Ainsley vampire novel The Passage. Fox is developing the project as a potential directing vehicle for Ridley Scott, who last teamed with Logan on the Academy Award-winning film Gladiator.
