Pacific Rim is a big ‘ol popcorn movie that shines with Guillermo del Toro‘s personality. After establishing a vibrant near-future in which Jaegers and Kaiju clash with glee, del Toro bowed out of directing the sequel, Pacific Rim: Uprising.
