There’s a whole lot about Kingsman: The Golden Circle that sounds new. Eggsy (Taron Egerton) will be heading across the pond to America for this new adventure, meeting new friends (like Ginger, played by Halle Berry) and new foes (like Poppy, played by Julianne Moore) along the way. But there’ll be a few familiar elements as well, including Merlin (Mark Strong). And the first Kingsman 2 poster suggests another old friend has joined the fray.
(Spoilers ahead, though it doesn’t look like the marketing team is exactly going out of its way to keep this particular plot point under wraps.) Read More »

In addition to then-unknown Taron Egerton, Kingsman: The Secret Service featured quite a collection of high-profile talents including Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Michael Caine. Now the sequel has recruited another familiar face. Halle Berry is in talks for the super-spy sequel, which Matthew Vaughn returns to direct. And if all goes back, she could return for yet another Kingsman film. Read More »

Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of the more pleasant surprises of 2014, a darkly comedic riff on spy movie archetypes that took a swing at every single possible target and still managed to become a surprise box office smash. We’ve known that a sequel was in the works for some time now, but now star Taron Egerton has spoken about the next film from the Sundance Film Festival, where his new movie, Eddie the Eagle, played as a secret screening. And if you thought the first Kingsman was gnarly and offensive and insane while being predominately set in a single country, he’s got news for you: part two is going international.

A large majority of movie posters are forgettable. Most simply use Photoshop to slap some characters together, combine them with some action setpieces, slap on a title and credits, and print them to be displayed at the movie theater. But every now and then some movie posters actually catch our attention, and some of them are actually worthy of being called art. And we’d like to call attention to some of our favorite movie posters of the year by counting down the 20 Best Movie Posters of 2015. Check them out below! Read More »

Generally speaking, studios, filmmakers, and stars are happy to see their films land on awards shortlists or critics’ top 10s. But then there are the lists they’d probably rather not be on, like this one of the most pirated movies of 2015.
To be sure, most of these movies did just fine even without the pirates’ box-office dollars. This year’s #2, Furious 7, was a favorite of pirates basically from the moment it opened, and it still managed to set records. (Records which were later broken by Jurassic World and then Star Wars, but never mind that.) Still, it’s gotta be annoying to think of all the money they didn’t make because some people didn’t feel like paying. Especially since a couple of these titles could’ve used that extra boost. Find out what the most pirated movies of 2015 are after the jump.

That made Kingsman 2 practically a foregone conclusion, and now it’s gotten one step closer to reality. 20th Century Fox has just set a summer 2017 date for the sequel, which will bring back Taron Egerton as young spy Eggsy. Ever since the success of Kingsman: The Secret Service, a followup has been inevitable, but whether we’d see Colin Firth in The Kingsman sequel has been up in the air. Comic book creator/writer Mark Millar hopes director Matthew Vaughn and screenwriter Jane Goldman find a good way to bring Colin Firth back for The Kingsman sequel. Millar, understandably, very much wants to see Firth return to the role of Harry Hart.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
One of the more surprisingly fun and enjoyable action movies of this year was Kingsman: The Secret Service, the adaptation of Mark Millar‘s comic book from director Matthew Vaughn, which hit theaters all the way back in March and is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD.
The Matthew Vaughn film starring Colin Firth and introducing Taron Egerton was an over-the-top tribute to James Bond while also still making sure to distinguish itself from the iconic secret agent franchise. And that’s exactly what Honest Trailers hones in on when sending up this wild spy action flick. It might surprise you just how much the movie goes out of its way to simultaneously reference and go in a different direction than James Bond.
