Must-own Star Wars art

Is there a major pop culture property that’s had more artwork devoted to it than Star Wars? You could fill multiple museums with all of the art released since the pop culture art boom that’s been dedicated to a galaxy far, far away, but there are still incredible Star Wars-related pieces being produced on a regular basis. Case in point: tomorrow, Bottleneck Gallery and Acme Archives are releasing some stunning new art from Ise Ananphada, Juan Ruiz Burgos, Gianmarco Magnani AKA Silence TV, and Andy Fairhurst. You’ve gotta check these out.

Andy Fairhurst Back to the Future Trilogy Prints

There are countless art prints for Back to the Future out there in the world, many of them for the original movie that introduced us to Marty McFly, Doc Brown and the time traveling DeLorean. But as a fan of the  whole trilogy from director Robert Zemeckis, what I really like is when an artist creates a set of posters that represents the entire franchise with unifying imagery. Artist Andy Fairhurst has teamed up with Bottleneck Gallery for a new Back to the Future trilogy print set that satisfies all of that criteria. See it below! Read More »

Andy Fairhurst Lord of the Rings Prints

As we wait for Amazon to take us back to Middle-earth with a new sprawling, epic Lord of the Rings series (which may have a staggering 20 episodes in its first season), let’s look back at Peter Jackson’s film trilogy with a new set of prints from artist Andy Fairhurst. In his trademark style, the prints pay tribute to scenes from Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring featuring Arwen (Liv Tyler), Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen), and Boromir (Sean Bean) in heroic stances. See all of the new Andy Fairhust Lord of the Rings prints and find out when you can get them below. Read More »

The Breakfast Club prints

Even though this year doesn’t mark a special anniversary for the pinnacle high school movie The Breakfast Club, that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate one of the classic 1980s films that John Hughes gave us.

Artist Andy Fairhurst has created a new set of prints in honor of The Breakfast Club, each one focusing on one of the five teens stuck in detention at Shermer High School from a unique perspective. Check out The Breakfast Club prints after the jump. Read More »

Andy Fairhurst Star Wars Luke header

Hot off the biggest Star Wars weekend of the year (so far), the Bottleneck Gallery is releasing a beautiful set of official posters based on the original trilogy. The artist is Andy Fairhurst, who did this incredible set of Back to the Future posters a few months back. As he did with those, Fairhurst gives these popular films an etherial, yet recognizable look, and links an entire trilogy with the same basic concept. The result is a striking set of posters for one of the biggest trilogies ever.

The Andy Fairhurst Star Wars posters go on sale at noon EST. Check them out below. Read More »
