lego movie 2 cast ruth bader ginsburg

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Supreme Court Justice, walking meme machine and all-around good sport, took some time away from holding the entire fate of the United States on her shoulders to lend her voice to The LEGO Movie 2 cast. Ginsburg will be playing herself, in LEGO form (of course). I’m pretty sure this makes Ginsburg the first Supreme Court Justice to appear in a cartoon, except for that time Earl Warren appeared as the voice of the Galloping Ghost on an episode of Scooby-Doo*.

The LEGO Movie 2 TV Spot

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part revealed a new international trailer not too long ago, showing off the return of the LEGO Justice League. Now a new TV spot brings the DC Comics superhero team back in the minifigure form, but of course, the real superhero star is none other than LEGO Batman making a return, and it looks like he’s even carrying some Oscars in this movie, even though The LEGO Batman Movie got snubbed for a Best Animated Feature nomination last year.

The LEGO Movie 2 Trailer

The LEGO Movie 2 marketing so far has really been playing up the post-apocalyptic side of the world of Bricksburg following the end of the first movie. For those who may not recall, after Lord Business was stopped, Master Builder Emmett (Chris Pratt) and all his friends suddenly had to face the prospect of aliens from the planet Duplo. We’ve assumed that didn’t go very well for Bricksburg based on the the city being in shambles in the previous trailers, but a new international trailer reveals exactly what happened.
