Along with the upcoming revival of Saved by the Bell and the anticipated return of MacGruber, we’re also getting a new series from 30 Rock creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, as well as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt writer and producer Meredith Scardino. The series is called Girls5eva, and the cast of female leads is pretty enticing.
When Girls5eva was announced back in August, it already had Grammy winner, Emmy nominee and Broadway star Sara Bareilles attached, along with Tony-winning Hamilton star Renée Elise Goldsberry. The original cast of Hamilton remembers being very tired in June of 2016. They were a month away from taking their final bow after nearly a year of performing eight shows a week, to critical acclaim and astronomical popularity. Creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda was in the middle of writing the songs for Disney’s upcoming animated film Moana. And the cast and crew had taken on the seemingly impossible task of filming their show for a feature film that had no distributor and no studio over the course of three days.
“I look very tired in the movie and I paid for that look,” Miranda said in a Zoom Q&A with the cast and team of Hamilton ahead of the film’s upcoming debut on Disney+.

Recorded from the home office of the A Quiet Place director/star, the series highlights some uplifting stories from around the web to help drown out the hellish nightmare of news from our government and the coronavirus pandemic that is claiming lives everyday.
The first episode of Some Good News brought the wonderful surprise of The Office star Steve Carell appearing on the show for a chat, just in time for the NBC workplace comedy’s 15th anniversary.
