‘Deadpool 2’ Trailer Reveals New Mutants Played by Terry Crews, Bill Skarsgard, Shioli Kutsuna & More

The new Deadpool 2 trailer arrived this morning, and unlike the previous teases for the sequel from 20th Century Fox, it doesn’t feature any meta bookends or silly gags to open the footage. Instead, this is just a good old-fashioned movie trailer with nothing but scenes from the movie itself.
Since the Deadpool 2 trailer is so chock full of footage, that means we get a good glimpse at several new characters who were only very briefly seen in the previous trailers, not to mention one new character that we’ve never seen before. Terry Crews, Bill Skarsgård, Shioli Kutsuna and Julian Dennison are all prominently featured in the trailer, but who are they playing? Let’s figure it out below. Read More »
‘Ultimate Beastmaster’ Trailer: Sylvester Stallone Produces Netflix’s Riff on ‘American Ninja Warrior’
Posted on Thursday, January 26th, 2017 by Jacob Hall
When I first saw that Sylvester Stallone was executive producing a new Netflix series called Ultimate Beastmaster, I thought it made perfect sense that a tough guy like him would put his weight behind a new version of the 1982 fantasy adventure film The Beastmaster, which was later adapted into a television series that ran from 1999 to 2002. But I was way off, because Ultimate Beastmaster isn’t a sword and sorcery epic, but rather Netflix’s attempt to get in on that sweet “skilled athletes participate in punishing physical challenges for our couch-bound amusement” business. You can watch the first trailer below.

This election season has been something else. There has been so much nonsense and stupidity thrown around in this intense political climate that many have pointed to the fact that Mike Judge‘s cult favorite comedy Idiocracy predicted that this kind of thing would eventually happen. In fact, there were supposed to be some Idiocracy-themed political ads that would have went after candidate Donald Trump, but they were axed by 20th Century Fox, and you can probably guess why.
But that’s not stopping Mike Judge and Idiocracy from making waves this election season. This year happens to mark the 10th anniversary of the comedy that features some rather insightful social commentary, much of which has become eerily accurate in the wake of the current election, and to celebrate; the film will be coming back to theaters next month thanks to Alamo Drafthouse.
Get the details on Idiocracy returning to theaters after the jump. Read More »

For a few years now, writer-director Mike Judge and Terry Crews have talked about doing more with Idiocracy‘s President Camacho. Of course fans of the 2006 cult comedy are more than happy to see Crews return to the role, and we’ve seen him do so in a few Funny or Die videos. Crews and Judge were at one point discussing future opportunities for Camacho with Fox, and earlier this summer it was reported they were working on campaign ads for Camacho. But sadly, Fox has pulled the plug on the whole project.
Below, learn more about the cancelled President Camacho Ads.

In 2006, Fox dumped Mike Judge‘s Idiocracy into theaters. The film sat on the shelf for over a year, dealt with poor test screening scores, and, worst of all, with little promotion, it barely got a theatrical release. Over the years, though, Idiocracy has gained a passionate cult following.
With the comedy’s 10th anniversary coming up, actress Maya Rudolph says Mike Judge is considering going on tour for the film, conducting screenings and Q&As. Learn more about the potential event below.

Right now you can catch Saturday Night Live veteran Bill Hader as the love interest of Amy Schumer in her hilarious summer comedy Trainwreck from director Judd Apatow. But this fall, he’ll be returning to the small screen with one of his fellow SNL pals.
Hader will be the new captain in the third season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the Fox comedy series focusing on a New York City police precinct that counts Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Melissa Fumero, Joe LoTruglio, Terry Crews, Chelsea Peretti and the scene-stealing Andre Braugher among its ranks.
