Jessica Henwick, who appeared on Game of Thrones and was one of the few bright spots on Iron Fist, has joined the ever-expanding Godzilla vs. Kong cast. Henwick is the latest addition to a cast that already includes Stranger Things‘ Millie Bobby Brown, Big Little Lies‘ Alexander Skarsgard, Deadpool 2 actor Julian Dennison, Iron Man 3‘s Rebecca Hall, and Widows actor Brian Tyree Henry. Adam Wingard, director of The Guest, helms the upcoming entry in Legendary’s MonsterVerse, which pits Godzilla and King Kong against each other in a gargantuan smack-down.

The fight scenes in Iron Fist season 1 weren’t that great, primarily due to a lack of training. Season 2 hopes to improve that, with new, intense fight sequences that take the action to the next level. A new Iron Fist season 2 featurette breaks down how the show set about upping the ante when it comes to action scenes.

Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television, opened the Iron Fist season 2 panel at San Diego Comic-Con International with carefully crafted phrasing: “How do we top the martial arts from Season 1 in Season 2?” The question politely encapsulates a major criticism that many had with the first season of Iron Fist: the fighting (and the story) sucked.
Marvel and Netflix appear to have taken that criticism to heart. The series has benefited from a new showrunner, Raven Metzner, as well as the addition of Clayton Barber, a fight coordinator whose credits include Creed and Black Panther. In addition to the new behind-the-scenes players, the panel also included Finn Jones (Danny Rand), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and, as a surprise late addition to the event, Alice Eve, who is playing (wait for it…) Typhoid Mary.
The group, steered by Jeph’s bombastic interview style, provided an entertaining show. But the real stars of the panel were the exclusive clips Loeb shared of the season to come. Here is a run-down of the Iron Fist season 2 Comic-Con footage, with each clip working hard to convince Marvel fans to give Iron Fist another chance. Read More »
Luke Cage season 2 drops on Netflix later this month, and if you’re not hyped yet, this clip might do the trick. In this Luke Cage season 2 clip, Misty Knight and Colleen Wing have a friendly conversation with some gentleman at a bar. And by “conversation”, I mean they kick the crap out of these guys.

In case you forgot, everyone’s least-favorite Defender is getting a second season! Iron Fist season 2 is currently in pre-production, and Star Trek Into Darkness co-star Alice Eve has just joined the cast. There are no details on Eve’s role yet, but it’s likely at one point she’ll come in contact with Danny Rand and mutter “Ugh, you’re the worst” under her breath.

Finn Jones‘ Danny Rand may be at the center of Netflix’s Iron Fist, but he’s definitely not the show’s only resident hero. In fact, he may not even be the show’s coolest resident hero, if the first Iron Fist clip is any indication. This sneak peek offers a much better look at Danny’s buddy Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), who proves right off the bat that she’s a force to be reckoned with. Underestimate her at your own peril — you may just wind up like the two burly dudes who make the mistake of dismissing her as “a little girl.”

As hyped as we are for Marvel’s The Defenders, we’ve still got one last stop before we get there. Next month brings Iron Fist, which introduces Danny Rand (Finn Jones) as the fourth and final Defender and brings some magical martial arts into the mix. The new trailer plays kind of like a lighter Batman Begins, with Danny — the long-lost scion of a multibillion-dollar corporate enterprise — returning with some mysterious powers to reclaim his place in society and beat up lots of bad guys along the way.
Rosario Dawson returns as Claire Temple, basically the glue holding this entire corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe together; and Jessica Henwick plays Danny’s new friend Colleen Wing. Watch the Iron Fist trailer below. Read More »

As we’ve already established, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist aren’t exactly team player types. It’d probably take a monumental threat to bring the four of them together for The Defenders, and over the summer we learned the face of that threat would be Sigourney Weaver. Since then, details about her mysterious The Defenders villain character have been kept under very tight wraps. But today brings our first look at Weaver in character, along with a few new details about her — including her name.
See the first The Defenders Sigourney Weaver photo below, plus a whole bunch of new images featuring the various Defenders in different configurations. (My favorite of those new photos is the one highlighted above.) Read More »

2017 is shaping up to be a very, very good time to be a Marvel fan. Not only are we getting three Marvel movies on the big screen (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok), we’ll get to see three new Marvel shows on Netflix. The first one out that gate will be Iron Fist, starring Game of Thrones‘ Finn Jones as the mystical martial arts master Danny Rand.
A new batch of photos shows off Jones’ take on the comic book character, along with new looks at Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup), Ward Meachum (Tom Pelphrey) — and, of course, Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), who is the glue holding this entire corner of the MCU together. Check out the latest images below. Read More »
