Since 1981, the Golden Raspberry Awards, better known as the Razzies, have been leading the way in nominating movies they consider to be the worst of the worst Hollywood has to offer. After all this time, the joke has kind of run its course, especially when the Razzies simply pick easy targets and don’t really bring much to the table when it comes to discussing the quality of cinema. But it’s Oscar weekend, so the “winners” of the awards honoring the worst in cinema have been announced, and the people want to know.
The 2018 Razzies winners have been crowned, and The Emoji Movie walked away with Worst Picture, the highest honors given by the Golden Raspberry Awards. But those weren’t the only awards won by the mindless, uninspired Sony Pictures Animation project. Find out all the honors The Emoji Movie rightfully and easily earned in the full 2018 Razzies winners list below. Read More »
Ugh, here we go. The “funny” Razzie Nominations have been announced, and as usual, they’re bad. Since 1981, the Golden Raspberry Awards have been leading the way in nominating movies they consider to be the worst of the worst Hollywood has to offer. These nominations are meant to be both tongue-in-cheek and “reward” bad films and bad performances, but often, they target movies that are misunderstood or simply bold. If anything, the nominations continually prove that the Razzies are kind of useless. The 2018 Razzie Nominations are below.

The phenomenon that was the Fifty Shades of Grey book series doesn’t seem to be faring quite as well as a film franchise, at least not with all the readers who touched themselves while reading this book written by a Twilight fan fiction writer. Though the first film was a massive success that pulled in over $571 million worldwide, the sequel Fifty Shades Darker made significantly less with just $378 million raked in at the global box office.
Basically, once viewers saw that most of the kinky sex didn’t make the cut in the first movie, plenty of them lost interest. And once you watch the Honest Trailer for the sequel, it’s not hard to see why. This movie is decidedly not sexy, no matter how hard it tries to be, and it feels more like some kind of joke than a legitimate erotic romance. Is this really the kind of stuff that turned on millions of women around the world?

In one week, Super Bowl LI will take over television ratings. Millions of Americans will be glued to the small screen, and while many are interested the big game between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons, plenty are just interested in the commercials that will take the coveted 30-second spots that cost an average of $5 million this year.

Sequels to romances are few and far between, but Fifty Shades of Grey isn’t your average romance. Based on E.L. James‘ erotic thriller of the same name, the film adaptation was a box office sensation pulling in over $571 million on a budget of just $41 million. However, the sequel Fifty Shades Darker isn’t just a result of the big box office, because there was a whole trilogy of books before the first movie even got off the ground.
Now a new Fifty Shades Darker trailer has arrived, playing to its prime target audience during the premiere of The Bachelor last night. The new trailer shows the next chapter of the romance between Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Ana Steele (Dakota Johnson), and it appears things are not only going to get kinky again, but also deadly.

Fifty Shades of Grey ended with Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) reconsidering the terms of her complicated relationship with Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), but to the surprise of absolutely no one, Fifty Shades Darker finds the couple slipping right back into their old kinky habits. After all, there’s no sequel if they break up for good. And if there’s no sequel, there’s no opportunity for Universal to make another gazillion dollars off this hot property.
However, there are a few key changes this time around. For starters, the new installment sees James Foley replacing Sam Taylor-Johnson as the director behind the camera. And then there’s the fact that this one looks less like a romantic drama than a thriller, what with all the creepy stalkers appearing in bedrooms and all the helicopters crashing in forests. Watch the Fifty Shades Darker trailer below.

Earlier this week, Universal released the trailer for Fifty Shades Darker, the second chapter in the Fifty Shades franchise. When the first film was released in 2015, it hit at the exact right time to capitalize on the success of the book series. I had always assumed that the excitement for the series would die down. I could never have anticipated that the sequel trailer would beat out Star Wars: the Force Awakens to become the most-viewed trailer in the first 24 hours of release. Find out how many more views Fifty Shades Darker beats Star Wars by, after the jump.

Yesterday, Universal released a 20-second teaser for the Fifty Shades Darker trailer. Now, you can watch the full trailer, which features “Crazy in Love” performed by Miguel, fine supporting actors you hardly see any of, and plenty of more drama between Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). It’s, for the most part, what’s expected for a trailer for the sequel to the hit 2015 film.

Tomorrow, a full trailer will be released for Fifty Shades Darker, but in the meantime, you can watch a 20-second tease for it and check out a poster for the film.
