Lady and the Tramp cast

Tessa Thompson is having a hell of a year. She played supporting roles in Boots Riley’s blistering satire Sorry to Bother You, Alex Garland’s mind-bending Annihilation, and the second season of HBO’s twisty prestige drama Westworld. She was recently cast as the female lead of Sony’s Men in Black reboot, and now she has another leading role to add to her ever-growing resume: she’ll provide a voice in Disney’s live-action/CGI hybrid remake of Lady and the Tramp.

Star Wars TV show setting

We’ve known for a while now that Disney and Lucasfilm are planning to make a number of Star Wars TV series to debut on Disney’s upcoming streaming service. There’s Star Wars Resistance, an anime-style animated series that is set before The Force Awakens. But more intriguingly, Iron Man director Jon Favreau is writing and producing a live-action series, which will be set years after the events of Return of the Jedi.

A new report indicates that this will be one of the most expensive shows in history, and elsewhere, a rumor claims that the live-action Star Wars TV show is going to focus on the planet Mandalore, which has never appeared in live-action before.

lady and the tramp remake

Disney is still making that live-action Lady and the Tramp remake, and they’ve finally announced the first cast members: Justin Theroux will voice the Tramp himself, while Ashley Jensen will provide the voice of Scottish Terrier Jackie (named Jock in the original animated film). Unlike other recent live-action Disney remakes, Lady and the Tramp is being groomed for Disney’s upcoming streaming service.
