The folks at at Pearl Studio and DreamWorks have been working on the animated film Everest for a few years, and now the film has a new title: Abominable. The movie focuses on a group of humans who befriend a Yeti. That makes Abominable the second soon-to-be-released animated Yeti movie. What a time for cinema!

Even though the television series Agents of SHIELD takes place in the Marvel cinematic universe, there has still be a significant disconnect between the Marvel Studios show on ABC and their feature films. The biggest piece of evidence pointing to a lack of cooperation between the two Marvel entities is the fact that Agents of SHIELD probably won’t cross over with the Inhumans movie (which has been pulled from Marvel’s schedule, but will still get made eventually), even though they share an entire species of superpowered characters from Marvel Comics. And it sounds like one of Marvel’s TV stars is a bit annoyed by that.

The cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were on a panel at WonderCon last weekend and spoke to the press afterwards. The tight-lipped stars of the Marvel show were able to preview some of the upcoming adventures of this corner of the MCU. Daisy Johnson will have some full Secret Warriors action sequences coming up, said actor Chloe Bennet.
“Fans will be thoroughly satisfied with some of the Secret Warrior action we have coming up,” Bennet said. “It was some of my favorite stuff to shoot ever on this show because it’s something that Daisy’s wanted. I can’t say how it ends in that it’s not going to be like ‘We’re a team and this is how it is forever happy yay!’ It’s not necessarily going to be like that but there’s a couple of really good comic book classic moments that we have with the team.” Read More »

Marvel Studios’ big screen adaptation of Inhumans wont hit theaters for almost four years (November 2nd 2018) but Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD television series is gearing up to return to ABC with a Inhuman story arc on Tuesday, March 3rd 2015. During the Academy Awards pre-show, ABC aired the first promo for the mid season return which features the first audible mention of “Inhuman” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As Iron Man and Thor bring Marvel’s Phase Two into theaters, some of the MCU’s less famous inhabitants will be making waves on the small screen this fall. ABC officially took Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to series last week, and has now announced plans to air it this fall on Tuesday nights.
