Child's Play Remake Rated R

While the MPAA has yet to issue an official rating for the Child’s Play remake, producer Seth Grahame-Smith wants to assure horror fans that the new take on Chucky will have a firm R-rating. According to Grahame-Smith, you can expect a whole lot of gore and intensity in the upcoming movie, so at least that’s one less thing to worry about.

Orion Pictures and MGM are done playing around. The studios released a Child’s Play image offering the first proper look at the new Chucky in all his creepy glory. The new image is the first full image we have of the new Chucky, who has received quite the sleek makeover, in the form of a smooth, porcelain-looking face and a slicked-back hairstyle. But he’s still got those familiar blue overalls and a knife in hand.

The Child’s Play remake has found its composer. Bear McCreary, who has provided music for The Walking Dead10 Cloverfield Lane, and more, will create the Child’s Play remake score, giving Mark Hamill‘s Chucky plenty of music to murder to. Orion Pictures announced McCreary as the composer today, and unveiled a teaser video featuring the artist revealing some of the music that will be used in the film. Check it out below.
