Creator/executive producer Dave Filoni joined Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray, and Tiya Sircar to discuss Star Wars Rebels during Star Wars Celebration. Naturally, major spoilers were discussed.
When Star Wars Rebels ended in March 2018, Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn vanished without a trace. While fans have speculated as to what might have happened, Filoni was tight-lipped during Saturday afternoon’s panel. While there was less dancing around other elements of the conclusion, what happened to Ezra is unlikely to be answered anytime soon, nor did we get any major announcement of a new animated series that picks up where Star Wars Rebels left off.

The Star Wars Rebels finale raises just as many questions as it answers. I very much enjoyed this final installment of the Disney XD series, but am surprised that the story seems far from concluded. The ending even appears to feature a cliffhanger that teases a new adventure which could be explored in another Star Wars animated series or feature film. But was that the intention? Star Wars Rebels is currently airing its final season on Disney XD. The series, which bridges the gap between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Rogue One, follows the crew of the freighter starship the Ghost as they conduct operations against the Empire. After nearly six months of waiting, we are now just two days away from the season 3 premiere of Star Wars Rebels. But if patience isn’t your strong suit (and who could blame you, given all the exciting stuff about to go down next season?), Disney XD has dropped a couple new clips for you to pore over while you wait. In one, Ezra (Taylor Gray) consults a Sith Holocron, while in another, Ezra and Hera (Vanessa Marshall) go undercover and find themselves face-to-face with Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen).

Walt Disney World’s Star Wars Weekends 2014 has officially kicked off at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today. Attraction Magazine was on hand to catch the opening day festivities, which includes the Star Wars Weekends 2014 Parade. The parade includes Star Wars special guest celebrities Ahmed Best (Jar Jar Binks) Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) Vanessa Marshall (Hera Syndulla — Star Wars Rebels), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi – Clone Wars) and a ton of Star Wars costumed characters. The parade also features the debut of three new costumed characters from the upcoming Star Wars Rebels animated series: Chopper the droid, Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger. Members of the 501st Legion of costumed Star Wars fans helped make the parade possible. About 11 minutes into the video is the finale, which is a more theatrical production up on a stage.
