Amazon has decided to pull the plug on Truth Seekers, the horror-comedy series from creators Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, James Serafinowicz, and Nat Saunders. The series premiered on Amazon Prime Video in October of 2020, but it won’t be moving beyond its first season. Frost announced the show’s cancelation via social media. Truth Seekers dealt with the adventures of amateur paranormal investigators.

Amazon is bringing Simon Pegg and Nick Frost back to the world of horror with a new series called Truth Seekers. Nick Frost stars in the series as Gus, an internet installer who also hosts his own paranormal investigation web series called Truth Seekers on YouTube. Usually, he ventures into abandoned places while out on the job, but now he has to bring a new partner (Samson Kayo) with him, and they end up stumbling onto a lot of real paranormal activity.

After Edgar Wright wrapped up his Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy with 2013’s The World’s End, it seemed like the glory days of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost‘s long and storied onscreen relationship was over. The pair had worked together since the days of the 1999 British sitcom Spaced and would appear together in films like Paul as well. But the duo went their separate ways following The World’s End, until it was announced last year that Pegg and Frost would be reuniting for a new comedy-horror series, Truth Seekers. The series, which stars Frost as one of a three-person paranormal investigation team, has now landed at Amazon Prime Video.
