File this under “unexpected casting news”: Lily James (Baby Driver, Cinderella) and Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Destroyer) have been hired to play Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in a new limited series for Hulu.
For anyone who may have been a bit too young to experience their fame as it was happening, Anderson (a Playboy Playmate and actress) and Lee (the drummer of rock band Mötley Crüe) were involved in a high-profile whirlwind romance which drew the attention of the tabloids for years. On their honeymoon, the two filmed a sex tape which was eventually stolen and leaked to the public. In the upcoming limited series, Seth Rogen (This is the End, Steve Jobs) is on board to play the man who stole and distributed that tape.

Pamela Anderson is returning to her old stomping grounds — or rather, her jogging-down-the-beach-in-delicious-slow-motion grounds. The former C.J. The cast of the Baywatch movie is already squared away with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron leading the feature comedy adaptation of the popular 90s TV series, and we just got a first look at them on the beach. The two ripped actors are also joined by some lovely ladies, including Alexandra Daddario (San Andreas), Ilfenesh Hadera (Billions), model Kelly Rohrbach (a Sports Illustrated model), and Priyanka Chopra (Quantico). And now one of the stars of the original series might be appearing in the movie as well.
Pamela Anderson was one of the biggest reasons that people tuned in to Baywatch. The series skyrocketed her to fame as one of the most desired women of the 90s, and apparently there are negotiations to get her to make an appearance. But there’s a chance it may not happen. Find out what’s going on with the Pamela Anderson Baywatch cameo below. Read More »
Werner Herzog is currently out in the desert for his Gertrude Bell biopic Queen of the Desert, but soon he’ll focus on some arid Americana. His next film is slated to be Vernon God Little, based on the novel by DBC Pierre that won the Booker Prize after its 2003 publication. The novel is set in a small Texas border town, where a high school student shoots six fellow students before taking his own life.
Now Russell Brand, Sasha Pieterse of Pretty Little Liars, and young actor Austin Abrams (The InBetweeners) are in talks for major roles in the film.
Update: Mike Tyson and Pamela Anderson also have roles. If your lifelong dream is the same as mine (to see Herzog direct Pamela Anderson) then this movie just became a must-see.

The last time we reported on the Baywatch movie, Russ wrote that he hoped it would “just dry up and go away.” For a while, it seemed he’d gotten his wish, as the project didn’t seem to be making much progress. But it’s back now, with a script newly rewritten by Rescue Me co-creator Peter Tolan. And for better or worse, it’s apparently totally unrelated to the show — aside from a couple of planned appearances by David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson. More details after the jump.
