desperados trailer

Prank Sinatra has done it again. He’s fooled us into thinking that this isn’t actually a New Girl sequel where Winston and Allie are doing some weird roleplay, in which she is a sad, desperate single and he’s an aloof blind date. But that seems to be all there is to Desperados, a new Netflix comedy starring Nasim Pedrad. Pedrad stars  as the aforementioned sad, desperate single woman who meets her dream man (Robbie Amell) but sends him a drunk, rude email after he disappears on her for five days. When she realizes her mistake, she flies to Mexico to engage in some classic rom-com hijinks and brings a bad blind date (Pedrad’s New Girl love interest Lamorne Morris) into it. Watch the Desperados trailer below.

Chad Trailer

Nasim Pedrad launched her career as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2009 through 2014. Since then, she’s popped up on Scream Queens, People of Earth, and New Girl, as well as having a role as a new character in Disney’s upcoming remake of Aladdin. But soon, she’ll be taking on a role unlike any other she’s play before: a 14-year old teenage boy.

Chad is a new series coming to TBS that stars Nasim Pedrad as the titular character, a 14-year-old pubescent Persian boy who is trying to make his way through the first year of high school without little to no success. If the first Chad trailer is any indicator, this is going to be absolutely hilarious. Watch it below! Read More »

Cooties cast

If the idea of a bunch of zombie kids disemboweling their teachers sounds like fun, Cooties is the movie for you. Elijah Wood stars as Clint, a substitute teacher who ends up at the wrong school on the wrong day. He’s joined by Allison Pill, Rainn Wilson, Jack McBrayer, Nasim Pedrad and Leigh Whannell, all of whom play teachers tasked with trying to stop a quickly spreading virus that turns kids into rabid flesh eaters.

Whannell, best known for the Saw and Insidious franchises, also co-wrote the film and it pops with hilarious one-liners and disgusting violence. The second act slows down the action considerably, however, and some of the plot holes are massive, but that doesn’t take away too much from the good provided by first time directors Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion.
