Nickelodeon revolutionized cartoons in the early ’90s with shows like Rugrats and Ren and Stimpy, but by the turn of the millenium, the network was in need of some fresh voices with something new to offer that didn’t come from Klasky or CsupĆ³. While SpongeBob SquarePants was making headlines and exploding in popularity, it was indie comics creator Jhonenh Vasquez who presented one of the most unique, creepy, nihilistic, and hilarious shows Nickelodeon ever saw. Invader Zim Enter the Florpus Trailer

Hot on the heels of last weekend’s debut of the Nickelodeon special Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling on Netflix (which was one of the best nostalgic revivals I’ve ever seen), this weekend, another Nicktoon gets a revival on Netflix with a special of their own.

Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus brings back the invading alien from the Nickelodeon animated series, but this time Zim has learned the secret of his journey to Earth and finds out no one will be following him to Earth. Invader Zim Enter the Florpus Teaser

Hot on the heels of the teaser for Nickelodeon’s TV movie revival of Rocko’s Modern Life, the other anticipated NickToon return that fans have been waiting for has also been given a new teaser and official release date.

Invader Zim ran on Nickelodeon from 2001 through 2006, and now the NickToon is back with a TV movie called Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus. This project was expected to arrive last year, but got delayed with the Rocko’s Modern Life TV movie and has now been relegated to a release on Netflix instead of the cable network for kids. Invader Zim and Rocko's Modern Life Movie

You might remember awhile ago that there was talk about Nickelodeon bringing back Rocko’s Modern Life and Invader Zim in the form of TV movies. However, ever since the projects were teased at San Diego Comic-Con in 2017 and 2018 respectiely, we haven’t heard anything about when they might debut on the kids cable network. And now we know why.
