Stuber received a warm reaction at SXSW, and by most accounts, it’s pretty darn funny. And yet, every time I see the film’s title, I get angry. This may very well be the funniest damn movie in the world, but nothing will change the fact that it has an awful title. I’m sorry, Stuber – nothing personal, your name just makes me wretch. But hey, this new trailer is pretty amusing! It’s going for a somewhat retro vibe, even though the actual footage doesn’t look retro at all. Watch the new Stuber trailer below.

Sylvester Stallone has found a certain amount of success reviving the Rocky franchise with Michael B. Jordan as the new leading man, Adonis Creed. But he still can’t help but make some crummy action movies on the side. Case in point: there’s an Escape Plan 3 on the way this summer, and just like Escape Plan 2: Hades, this one isn’t even bothering to play in theaters.
Following a path similar to the second film, Escape Plane: The Extractors finds Ray Breslin (Stallone) breaking into a prison to rescue to rescue the kidnapped daughter of a Hong Kong tech mogul from a formidable Latvian prison. Oh, and it just so happens that his girlfriend (Jaime King) has been kidnapped too. And there’s some good old-fashioned revenge behind the plot this time. Watch the Escape Plan 3 trailer below. Customer service can be such a hassle in the new Stuber clip released by 20th Century Fox. While meeting your Uber driver can always be awkward, it doesn’t get more awkward than the first encounter between Kumail Nanjiani’s Stu and Dave Bautista‘s Vic, who probably won’t be giving Stu a five-star rating, despite his offers of chocolates and water. James Gunn‘s number one fan Dave Bautista has made his peace with Disney. Most of the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy had publicly spoken out against the company following Gunn’s firing from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 last year, but none spoke more loudly than Bautista, who had threatened to leave the franchise altogether. But now with Gunn happily back in the employ of Marvel and Disney, Bautista has repaired his relations with the House of Mouse.

The summer is already filled with plenty of action from some of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Avengers: Endgame and John Wick: Chapter 3 kicked all sorts of ass, and Godzilla: King of Monsters took a big bite out of the competition. The X-Men just came back together for their final mission in Dark Phoenix, and soon Men in Black International will fight the scum of the universe across the globe. But the team-up that you might want to keep an eye on is a little bit further out.
Stuber finds Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick) as a timid Uber driver who suddenly finds himself as the chauffeur to a dangerous cop played by Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy). Needless to say, their pairing makes for quite an odd couple, and the two end up embarking on a bullet-riddled adventure that takes them through the seedy underbelly of crime. Watch the red band Stuber trailer to get a taste. Read More »
While most of this summer’s action brings us superheroes, giant monsters, galaxy-saving secret agents, living toys, and remakes of animated classics, 20th Century Fox is taking us for an Uber ride from hell.
Stuber is a new action comedy that follows Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick) as an Uber driver named Stu (that’s why it’s called Stuber!), who suddenly finds himself driving around an aggressive, gruff and tough cop (Dave Bautista) as he’s in pursuit of some pretty formidable criminals. It has a real throwback vibe to it, like something akin to Midnight Run or Beverly Hills Cop. Watch the new international Stuber trailer below to see what we’re dealing with. Read More »
Somehow, when we weren’t looking, Escape Plan became a franchise. The original film teamed up action movie legends Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger for the very first time. It was fine! That was followed by a Schwarzenegger-less sequel,Escape Plan 2: Hades. Now, here comes Escape Plan: The Extractors. Stallone is back once again without Schwarzenegger, but Dave Bautista is there, so that’s something. Watch the Escape Plan: The Extractors trailer below.
