Hugh Jackman‘s Logan is the undisputed star of Logan (you know, as indicated by the title), but its resident scene-stealer is definitely Laura, a.k.a. X-23. As played by 11-year-old Dafne Keen, she’s a force of nature who’s more than capable of holding her own against veteran X-Men like Wolverine and Professor X. I’ve got a strong feeling she’ll emerge as a new fan favorite as more and more people get to see Logan.
In fact, she’s definitely got one supporter on her side already: Logan director James Mangold, who says he’d liked to be “involved” with a potential X-23 spinoff. Read More »
The latest trailer for Logan continued to help make James Mangold‘s film stand out from the herd. Everything we’ve seen so far from the R-rated comic book movie implies what Mangold has been saying all along: this isn’t your average superhero movie. Hugh Jackman recently described Logan as a slightly more violent Little Miss Sunshine, which isn’t the typical go-to reference for most comic book movies.
Below, check out some new Logan images.

Normally, when a studio offers us the chance to preview footage from an upcoming film, we’re treated to a handful of clips. In the case of James Mangold‘s Logan, we saw the entire first act — perhaps 30 or 40 minutes of footage. Such a move speaks to 20th Century Fox’s faith in the film, touted as Hugh Jackman‘s very last performance of Wolverine after 17 years. And based on what we saw, that confidence is well placed.
Mangold’s Logan feels unlike any superhero movie in recent movie, and yet its gritty Western vibe feels perfectly suited to Jackman’s world-weary take on the character. If this really is the last time we’ll see his Wolverine, it seems like a fitting end to his tenure. Read our Logan footage review below.

It’s no secret that a new Logan trailer is coming soon. 20th Century Fox is sending out the frames of the trailer to some lucky fans to assemble online (they’re on the way already), and the new glimpse at the Wolverine sequel should be coming shortly thereafter.
In the meantime, director James Mangold is holding fans over with some new images from the set featuring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and franchise newcomer Dafne Keen as X-23. Plus, he’s also release a snippet of the score from The Wolverine composer Marco Beltrami (not Cliff Martinez), and it sounds rather haunting and frantic.

Logan is a full-color movie, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at the official images, most of which have been presented in crisp black and white. They’ve got a dramatic, old-fashioned fel to them, but the lack of color means they don’t necessarily make for the best representation of what the film will actually look like.
Today’s new Logan photo, on the other hand, is practically bursting with color by comparison. There are orange flames, green leaves, blue denim… and dark red blood, because in Logan, Wolverine is actually capable of getting hurt and injured. Click through to see the latest Logan photo. Read More »
If the hints in the trailer and the details from trade reports recently weren’t enough to convince you that Logan would see the introduction of the mutant known as X-23, the confirmation you’ve been waiting for has arrived.
A new photo from the official Logan Instagram account (with the username “wponx”) has confirmed what we have all assumed for a little while now. Young actress Dafne Keen, who can be seen several times in the Logan trailer, is playing Laura Kinney, the mutant clone of Weapon X, aka Wolverine (Hugh Jackman).
