Tilly played Chucky’s girlfriend Tiffany (and also a fictionalized version of herself) in the Child’s Play movies starting with 1998’s Bride of Chucky.

Ahead of SyFy’s panels for the Television Critics Association, the cable channel announced the Chucky television series, based on the Child’s Play horror franchise, had been given a straight-to-series order. /Film has been following the Chucky TV series for a couple years, from creator Don Mancini’s comments after the last film Cult of Chucky, to executive producer Nick Antosca talking about the show last year at the TCAs. The original Child’s Play came out 31 years ago, and was about a doll named Chucky who was imbued with the soul of a twisted serial killer. Now it’s 2019 and the doll is back in a new reboot, but as director Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) told me a few months ago, “This is a different take. That was one of the biggest things for me, why I wanted to jump on this, because it meant that I could create Chucky as a character looking at the world for the first time.”

Last month, Syfy officially announced the Child’s Play TV series that creator Don Mancini has long been teasing. Mancini will collaborate with Channel Zero creator Nick Antosca, who hired Mancini as a writer on Channel Zero.
