We’re only a few months away from seeing a new Drew Goddard movie, and the film’s first official image has arrived. A batch of Bad Times at The El Royale first look photos are here, and one features star Chris Hemsworth showing off his ripped abs as he stands in the rain.
What’s that? You’re not even reading these words right now because you’re already looking at that photo below? Yeah, I’d probably do the same thing if I were you. Read More »
After the bland Thor: The Dark World, Taika Waititi completely turned the Thor franchise around with last year’s Thor: Ragnarok by making one of the funniest films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s also one of the strangest, and as a newly-released Thor Ragnarok deleted scene reveals, it was almost even stranger.
Take a look at the new scene below, which features a bizarre hologram of Jeff Goldblum‘s Grandmaster, and some nice banter between Thor and Bruce Banner. Read More »
It’s been almost six years since filmmaker Drew Goddard made his directorial debut with the unexpectedly brilliant horror comedy The Cabin in the Woods, and while he’s worked consistently since then as a writer, he has yet to step behind the camera to direct another feature film. Now, I’m not sure what you value in life, but Emily Blunt as an ice-blasting sorceress sitting astride a polar is the kind of thing that can get us through a dark and lonely day. That’s some serious D&D shit right there.
The rest of the trailer for The Huntsman: Winter’s War isn’t nearly as inspiring, looking like a half-baked rehash of the already half-baked Snow White and the Huntsman. And yet it’s hard to find too much to hate about a movie that somehow managed to wrangle Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Jessica Chasten, and Emily Blunt (on a polar bear!) into the same ensemble.

Olivia Wilde has landed the coveted role of ’70s supermodel Suzy Miller in Rush, Ron Howard‘s Peter Morgan-scripted drama about the real-life rivalry between British Formula One driver James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Austrian racer Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl). Miller married the womanizing Hunt, but then fell in love with Hunt’s friend Richard Burton. Burton agreed to pay the $1 million divorce settlement that Hunt owned Miller, and then married Miller.
Howard is reportedly eyeing Russell Crowe to play the supporting role of Burton, but it doesn’t sound like negotiations are too far along at this time. Rush began preliminary shooting last month, but real principal photography is starting soon. [Deadline]
After the jump, Billy Crudup gets to show off his comedic chops while Helen Hunt, Maggie Grace, and Aaron Paul get to fight breast cancer.

Joss Whedon and his crew spent plenty of time destroying the streets of Cleveland as the burg doubled for New York City, but sometimes there’s nothing like the real thing. Almost the full cast of The Avengers (Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Stellan Skarsgard and Mark Ruffalo) was filming at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park in Manhattan Friday and some really great photos have come online.
These don’t spoil anything in particular but if you have been avoiding everything Avengers-related, you probably want to stay away. Potential spoilers (very small ones) follow. Read More »
