Comedians Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel have collaborated with each other countless times, at various venues, in several different mediums. Maybe you’ve seen them on their MTV sketch show Human Giant, in any of the dozen movies and TV shows they’ve appeared in or at the UCB Theatre doing their show Crash Test. If you’ve seen the latter, then you’re going to love this news.
Paramount Digital Entertainment is bringing a new Crash Test comedy special to Vimeo on Demand, and it’s not just a recorded version of one of the shows at the UCB Theatre. Instead, this comedy special was recorded on a moving bus and at various tops that the Crash Test vehicle made in Los Angeles, and there’s a ton of awesome special guests.

The Choose Your Own Adventure novels were best known for letting the reader decide how they wanted the story to unfold. Now, the three men who’ll be our decision makers when the brand hits the big screen have been revealed. As the saying goes, every generation gets the Hoff it deserves. (That is how the saying goes, right?) And the one we’ve earned, apparently, is Bill Hader. The Saturday Night Live star has just signed on for the Baywatch reboot, which is being directed by Reno 911! co-creator Robert Ben Garant. Although a few of the series’ old stars are expected to make cameo appearances, Hader is the first new star to have signed on. Hit the jump to keep reading.
UPDATE: Collider has reached out to Hader and Ben Garant’s rep, who denies that Hader has been cast and says that Ben Garant’s script isn’t finished yet. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more. Original story follows.

The more we hear about Paramount’s impending Baywatch reboot, the less it sounds like Baywatch. While the project started out as an action-oriented piece, a few years ago the studio decided to switch gears and tapped Jeremy Garelick (The Break-Up) to rework it as a broad comedy. Then, after Garelick left, Peter Tolan (Rescue Me) was brought on for another rewrite.
Now, given that progression, the new choice of director makes perfect sense. According to a new report, Reno 911! co-creator / star Robert Ben Garant has signed on to helm. Whether he’ll also rewrite is not clear at this point.

If you ask the movie studio, Balls of Fury was a huge Comic Con sensation. Rogue Pictures announced that they had decided to move the release date of Balls of Fury up because of the incredible response they received at the convention. While I was covering the con, I talked to hundreds of people, yet didn’t hear one positive thing about the flick. Which made me wonder, did I miss this “phenomena”? Or was it a complete PR creation.
