The upcoming The Grudge remake may be in a bit of trouble. Taka lchise, producer of the original Japanese Grudge (Ju-on) franchise, has filed a breach of contract lawsuit, claiming that he was not offered a producer credit on the new movie. The Grudge remake is already filming, but this new development might curse it to an uncertain future.

If I’ve learned one thing watching Alien movies, it’s to never, ever go to space. I’ll keep my feet on terra firma, thank you very much. But if I’ve learned two things, the second is that coming face to face with a facehugger is the first step in drastically shortening your lifespan.
So when one of those nasty little creatures zips around and introduces itself to a couple of crew members in this new clip from Alien: Covenant, it’s a safe bet that things aren’t going to turn out well for them.

Like its franchise-starting predecessor, The Conjuring 2 paved the way for a spinoff called The Nun. Now the new horror title has become a family affair with The Conjuring star Vera Farmiga’s sister, Taissa Farmiga of The Final Girls, signing on to star in the spinoff.
Below, learn more about The Conjuring 2 spin-off.

Last year, I visited the set of Alien: Covenant. Today, I was able to publish my observations, and I wrote all about the film’s gore and monsters, its cast of characters, its sets and costumes, and its connections to Prometheus. And then, like clockwork, a new trailer arrived, and you know what means – it’s time to go through this whole thing frame-by-frame.

The Xenomorph may be the star of the Alien movies, but let’s face it: these movies wouldn’t have much staying power if the humans they were tearing apart didn’t make us care just a little bit. Sigourney Weaver’s Ellen Ripley, the crew of the Nostromo, and the colonial marines on LV-426 aren’t just victims – they’re flesh-and-blood people we grow to love before they’re so violently torn away from us.
Alien: Covenant follows in the footsteps of its predecessors by offering up a strong ensemble of actors for the slaughter: Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, Demián Bichir, and more. And now, here’s everything we learned about the doomed crew of the colony ship Covenant after visiting the set last year.

If you were watching Legion this evening (and you really should be watching Legion!), you were offered a brief preview of looks like an extended clip from Alien: Covenant. The full scene has arrived online and it introduces us to the crew of the colony ship Covenant, which is venturing deep into space on a mission to establish human outposts on other planets. But it’s not actually a scene from the movie – it’s a short film called Prologue: Last Supper and it’s directed by Luke Scott, the son of director Ridley Scott.
While it probably doesn’t feature any footage from the actual movie, the short does offer something the final film probably will not: this group of people actually having a good time, with no running or screaming or eviscerations. Let’s see what we can gleam from it.

Yesterday, we got our first look at the complete cast of Shane Black’s The Predator, so it makes perfect sense that today offers up our first look at the complete cast of Ridley Scott‘s Alien: Covenant. After all, these are the definitive science fiction/horror movie series, with the beasties at the center of both franchises even battling it out in the two Alien vs. Predator movies. It’s fun to imagine that rivalry extending beyond the screen – “Well, if they’re going to release a cast picture…”
So here we go: here is our first look at the Alien: Covenant cast gathered in one place.
You might remember that a few years ago, Peruvian filmmaker Ricardo de Monteuil made waves with his sci-fi short film The Raven. Not long after, he signed on to direct the coming-of-age drama Lowriders, and today the first trailer for that film has arrived.
War for the Planet of the Apes‘ Gabriel Chavarria stars as Danny, a Mexican-American teenage graffiti artist growing up among the colorful lowrider car culture of East LA. His dreams put him at odds with his father (Demián Bichir), a garage owner who hopes his son will follow in his footsteps. Also starring are Theo Rossi as Danny’s troublemaker brother, Eva Longoria as their new stepmom, and Melissa Benoist and Tony Revolori as Danny’s friends. Watch the Lowriders trailer below.
