The Lion King Beyonce

Disney’s The Lion King has one of the best musical soundtracks of any of their animated films. All of the songs were written by Broadway legend Tim Rice and classic rock icon Elton John, with the latter performing three of the signature songs for the soundtrack. However, when it comes to The Lion King remake soundtrack, Elton John is going to let one of Disney’s chart-topping cast members belt out a tune for the end credits.

Elton John recently revealed that The Lion King remake soundtrack will feature a new end credits song, and the plan is for cast member Beyoncé to sing the track. Plus, he also confirmed which songs from the original film will be featured in the new version. Find out what he had to say about The Lion King Beyonce song and more below. Read More »

Family Feud music video

We recently wrote about Never Let Me Go director Mark Romanek’s foray back into the world of music videos with his video for Justin Timberlake’s new single “Filthy,” but he’s not alone: Selma and A Wrinkle in Time director Ava DuVernay has a new music video of her own, featuring none other than Jay-Z and Beyonce.

As you might expect from the heavyweight talent involved, “Family Feud” (from Jay-Z’s recent 4:44 album) isn’t just any old music video. It’s a nearly eight-minute short film that spans hundreds of years and features performances from actors like Michael B. Jordan, Thandie Newton, Trevante Rhodes, Brie Larson, Rashida Jones, Constance Wu, and many more. Oh yeah, and Jay and Bey sing a song together at some point, too.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:

A star-studded cast works wonderfully as a marketing gimmick, but as films like New Year’s Eve and Movie 43 have proven, it’s no guarantee of quality. Fortunately, Blue Sky Studios’ animated adventure Epic seems to have a little more going for it.

Amanda Seyfried voices Mary Katherine, a normal girl who gets caught up in an old and bitter battle between the protectors of the forest (voiced by Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, and others) and the destructive forces led by Mandrake (Christoph Waltz). Beyoncé, Pitbull, Steven Tyler, Judah Friedlander, Aziz Ansari, and Blake Anderson also star. Watch the second trailer after the jump.
