Experience

Lex has been living adjacent to film and television her entire life. She's been acting since she was five years old, but a few years after graduating college, she got her foot in the door of digital media. She has been writing about entertainment for nearly seven years, with her first industry job coming in 2018 at Life & Style and In Touch Weekly. After writing celebrity news for three years, Lex transitioned into the beat that has defined her and given her the most joy: film and television. She started writing freelance film criticism in early 2021 and wrote on the /Film news desk until 2023. In the fall of 2021, she started working as a social media coordinator at Epic Pictures Group. Excitedly, she rejoined /Film on the features desk in early 2025 and the TVLine news desk in early 2026. You can find her bylines and criticism both online and in print at Vulture, The Guardian, Film School Rejects, Inverse, The Playlist, i-D, Fangoria, Paste Magazine, Roger Ebert, WeLoveCinema, The Wrap, Mashable, Shudder's The Bite, and Little White Lies. Lex is also a published poet and fiction writer, with her first chapbook of poetry titled "Men I Invented During a Fever Dream," published in January 2024.

Education

Lex graduated on the Dean's List with a bachelor's degrees from Marymount Manhattan College, where she double majored in acting and playwriting.
