Experience

Lex has been living adjacent to film and television her entire life. She’s been acting since she was five years old, but a few years after graduating college, she got her foot in the door of digital media. She has been writing about entertainment for five years, with her first industry job coming in 2018 at Life & Style and In Touch Weekly. After writing celebrity news for three years, Lex transitioned into the beat that has defined her and given her the most joy: film and television. She started writing freelance film criticism in early 2021 and joined the /Film news desk and Epic Pictures Group as social media coordinator in the fall that year. She has bylines and criticism at Vulture, The Guardian, Film School Rejects, Inverse, The Playlist, i-D, Fangoria, Paste Magazine, Roger Ebert, WeLoveCinema, and more forthcoming in The Wrap and Little White Lies.

Education

Lex graduated on the Dean’s list with Bachelor's degrees from Marymount Manhattan College, where she double-majored Acting and Playwriting. Within that framework of study, she immersed herself in Acting for Film and Television classes as well as Screenwriting.
