Experience

Trace got his start in film journalism by writing movie reviews for his high school's morning announcements broadcast. Eventually, he landed an internship with The Austin Chronicle, where his reviews and other local film-related coverage populated newsstands lining the streets of Austin, TX. Since then, he has regularly contributed to additional publications, including Paste Magazine, A.V. Club, Awards Watch, Dread Central, and more. Trace enjoys keeping up with major new releases, as well as finding new angles to explore classic and more off-the-beaten-path older cinema.

Education

Trace earned a bachelor's in digital communication at the University of Texas at San Antonio and a master's in film and media studies at Arizona State University.
