Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer found fame four years ago when their web series Broad City became a full fledged original series on Comedy Central. Now that the show has raised their comedy profile to make them in-demand actress in both films and television, the two are ready to bring Broad City to an end with the show’s fifth season. But that doesn’t mean they’re done bringing the laughs to Comedy Central. Read More »
One of the best comedy series on TV right now is undoubtedly Broad City. What first felt like the female answer to Workaholics has become the shining beacon in Comedy Central’s current line-up of shows as Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer have taken New York City by storm across three seasons. Now the fourth season is coming later this year, and the first trailer gives us a taste of what’s in store, including plenty of risque shenanigans, some fantastic new guest stars, and at least one episode where they leave New York City for a warmer climate.

Next month, Cars 3 will likely dominate the box office when it arrives on June 16. But for those who aren’t interested in the extremely troubling and perplexing world of anthropomorphic animated automobiles, there will be counter-programming arriving in theaters that same weekend on the complete opposite end of the spectrum.
Rough Night is bringing some raunchy comedy to the table this summer as we follow five college friends (Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer and Zoë Kravitz) getting back together for a bachelorette party. Of course, things get pretty crazy when these longtime friends do some cocaine and accidentally kill a male stripper. You know, just another girls night out.

It’s not often that a group of ladies get to have a raucous, irresponsible adventure in the vein of The Hangover, but with the success of movies like Bad Moms, women have been really cutting loose on the big screen. Rough Night is the next step in evening out the playing field of R-rated comedy.
Rough Night (formerly titled Rock That Body) follows Scarlett Johansson as the bride-to-be who is heading down to Miami to cut loose with her old college girlfriends (Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, Zoe Kravitz and Kate McKinnon) for a big bachelorette party. It’s exactly the kind of ladies night shenanigans you’d expect with dick-shaped things and some cocaine usage, but things take a dark turn when something goes wrong with the male stripper the women ordered.

We’ve seen Scarlett Johansson do everything from arthouse sci-fi to indie rom-com to big-budget action over the past few years, but her latest new project, Rock That Body, takes her into still new territory: the R-rated comedy. Luckily, she’ll have some experienced comedy vets on hand to help her out. Kate McKinnon (Ghostbusters), Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street), and Ilana Glazer (Broad City) have just joined Johansson and Zoë Kravitz in Rock That Body, which comes from Broad City writers Paul W. Downs and Lucia Aniello. Downs (who also plays Trey on Broad City) will co-star, and Aniello will direct. Read More »

Christmas means many things to many people. For some, it’s about spending time with loved ones. For others, it’s a joyful celebration of traditions sacred and silly. The holiday can also be a time to reflect on the year that was, if you’re the introspective type, or an enjoy a well deserved break if you’ve been working hard.
For the “ride or die homies” of The Night Before, Christmas is a combination of all of the above — but the way they celebrate it isn’t exactly the stuff of wholesome family classics. Instead, the three best friends (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, and Anthony Mackie) go out on the town for a wild night powered by staggering amounts of booze and drugs.
Along the way they run into all sorts of bizarre situations made even more bizarre by the effects of all those intoxicants, and encounter all manner of colorful characters including ones played by Michael Shannon and Ilana Glazer. Just last week, we learned that there was a female Ocean’s Eleven in development with Sandra Bullock taking the lead role akin to George Clooney‘s Danny Ocean. There are even rumblings that the story might actually take place in the same universe as the original heist trilogy from Steven Soderbergh, with Clooney potentially making a cameo as Ocean. But the big question is, who will surround Bullock as the rest of the heist crew?
We decided to put together a prospective cast who would be perfect to team up with Sandra Bullock for some kind of heist. Obviously the characters won’t be exactly the same as they are in Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven, but since we’re just having fun assembling a dream cast, we’ve stuck to the characters pretty closely to put this list together for the female Ocean’s Eleven cast.
