hbo max thanksgiving

Once a streaming platform has been launched, you don’t quite expect its creators to go back to traditional TV programming, but if Netflix can do it, so can HBO Max. But HBO Max is only heading to television for a special Thanksgiving event: the streaming platform is teaming up with WarnerMedia TV channels to bring Max Originals like Titans and The Flight Attendant, and marathons of DC movies and Friends to TNT, TBS, and truTV.

the flight attendant trailer

Kaley Cuoco has been pegged as the hot comedy girl since The Big Bang Theory became a baffling success, but the actress has forged a solid partnership with HBO Max, with her acclaimed work on the beloved animated series Harley Quinn and now with a darkly comic thriller that is sure to test Cuoco’s dramatic chops: The Flight Attendant. Cuoco stars in The Flight Attendant as a “crazy” and “drunk” flight attendant who is definitely not a murderer, despite the dead body that she wakes up next to after a hotel tryst with a passenger. Watch The Flight Attendant trailer below.

HBO Max spot

HBO Max had a somewhat botched debut thanks to confusion about WarnerMedia’s brands and which customers got the new streaming service for free and which ones needed to pay to subscribe. But the good news with setting the bar low at the start is that it should be easy for things to improve from here.

Today, WarnerMedia released a new commercial promoting several big upcoming releases from HBO and HBO Max, and the spot features footage from Steven Soderbergh‘s new movie Let Them All Talk, the Ridley Scott-produced sci-fi series Raised By Wolves, the Jude Law/Naomie Harris show The Third Day, and much more. Check it out below. Read More »

HBO Max shows and movies list

We’re just a few days away from the launches of both AppleTV+ and Disney+, but there is still at least one more major player waiting to enter the streaming wars after those two: HBO Max. WarnerMedia’s streaming service will debut in spring of 2020 with around 10,000 hours of content available to consume, including popular hits like Friends and The Big Bang Theory. But there are also tons of original series in development for the new service, and we’re here to round them all up in one place so you can decide if it’s going to be worth it to add yet another streaming service to your monthly budget.

The service will provide content from every branch of the WarnerMedia corporate tree, including HBO, Warner Bros., New Line, DC Entertainment, CNN, TNT, TBS, truTV, The CW, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, and Looney Tunes. Here’s a list of all of the HBO Max shows we know about so far (not to be confused with HBO originals, which are a whole separate thing).
