Kayleigh has been a full-time pop culture writer and critic since 2017. She is based in Dundee, Scotland. Her work can be found on Pajiba, IGN, Uproxx, RogerEbert.com, /Film, and WhatToWatch, among other places. She's also the creator of the newsletter The Gossip Reading Club.


As a student of film studies, Kayleigh wrote her Master's dissertation on the cinematic mythologizing of T.E. Lawrence via the lens of David Lean's Lawrence of Arabia. She also wrote papers on topics as varied as David Lynch, Spike Lee, and Pirates of the Caribbean. She graduated with distinction in 2018 and returns every year since then to talk to new students about the realities of working as a film critic in the current industry.
