Western Children's And YA Cartoons, Star Wars, Musical Theatre
- Caroline is a 2017 Critics Academy alumni at the Film at Lincoln Center.
- She takes the lows and highs of fandom culture pretty seriously and has written fanfics for Fanfiction.net and Archive of Our Own. And she still prowls around an ancient site known as Tumblr.
- Ever since childhood, Caroline expresses a subjective opinion that animation is much better than live-action. Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke is the film that radically altered her worldview.
Experience
Caroline started writing professionally in 2017 after contributing op-eds to her college paper. Her musings on movies, TV, and theatre can also be read on Indiewire, Film School Rejects, JoySauce, Theatrely, and Polygon. She has also covered events like New York Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Star Wars Celebration, and New York Comic Con. For /Film, she assembled lists of the Best of Adult and Kids' Animation of the past years. She's also probably procrastinating on a few personal screenplay projects or a libretto for an opera.
Education
Caroline graduated with two Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing - Fiction and Media Production at the University of Houston in 2015, before attaining a Master of Fine Arts in Non-Fiction at The New School in 2019.
