“Arnett’s deeply personal Venice, California dramedy centers on a self-appointed “guru” named Chip (Arnett) who falls for the object of his best friend’s fascination, London (Kearney). But it didn’t take long for the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullshit that underpins his all-important image and sobriety to unravel.”

The Will Arnett comedy is returning for a second season. Co-written by creators Arnett and his pal Mark Chappell (The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret), with Ben Silverman, manager-producer Peter Principato and Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz serving as executive producers. Arnett stars alongside  David Sullivan, Ruth Kearney and George Basil.

A group of friends from Harvard played by Keegan-Michael Key (Ethan), Cobie Smulders (Lisa), Annie Parisse (Sam), Nat Faxon (Nick), Fred Savage (Max) and Jae Suh Park (Marianne) are facing down their forties. With interwoven and oftentimes complicated relationships with one another Friends from College is a comedic exploration of old friendships, former romantic entanglements and balancing adult life with nostalgia for the past.The series is executive produced by Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors, Neighbors: Sorority Rising, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek), who also directed all eight episodes. Francesca Delbanco serves as an EP and writer.

Oculus and Ouija: Origin of Evil director Mike Flanagan takes on the Stephen King book, starring Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel.

“The period drama centers on Frank Griffin (Jeff Daniels), a menacing outlaw who is terrorizing the West as he hunts down Roy Goode (Jack O’Connell), his son-like partner turned mortal enemy. While Roy hides at Alice Fletcher’s (Michelle Dockery) ranch, Frank’s chase leads him to the quiet town of La Belle, N.M. — which is mysteriously made up of entirely women.”

The western mini-series Godless features Jeff Daniels, Michelle Dockery and Jack O’Connell. Steven Soderbergh, Scott Frank and Casey Silver are executive producers, and Frank serves as both writer and director on the project.

2017 TBD: Greenhouse Academy Season 1 [Kid’s Show]

“The Greenhouse is a live action, suspenseful drama series set in an elite boarding school in Southern California called “The Greenhouse.” Students are divided into two rival houses that must join forces to conquer challenges when an evil plot is uncovered. Paula Yoo (West Wing, Defiance, Eureka) is adapting with showrunner Giora Chamizer, who wrote and created the original series. Nutz Productions, a subsidiary company of Ananey Communications, will produce the series for Netflix.”

2017 TBD: Gypsy Season 1

“Therapist Jean Holloway becomes too immersed in the lives of her patients.” The 10-episode one-hour dramatic thriller series was created by Lisa Rubin and stars Naomi Watts, Billy Crudup and more. Naomi Watts stars in Gypsy as Jean Holloway – a therapist who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives. Liza Chasin and Lisa Rubin serve as executive producers, with Rubin also serving as writer. Sam Taylor-Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey) is directing the first two episodes of the series.


2017 TBD: Handsome [Movie]

Handsome is a Columbo-style mystery comedy film written by Andrea Seigel (Laggies) and Jeff Garlin (Curb Your EnthusiasmThe Goldbergs), and directed by and starring Garlin. “LA homicide detective Gene Handsome tries to make sense of his life as he solves crime. He’s really good at one of those.”

The film also stars Christine Woods (Hello Ladies, Perfect Couples), Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the New Black), Amy Sedaris (Unbreakable Kimmy SchmidtBoJack Horseman), Steven Webber (Wings, Studio 60, iZombie), Eddie Peppitone (Comedy Bang! Bang!Love), and Leah Remini (King of Queens). David Miner (Master of NoneUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Vern Davidson (The Goldbergs), and Garlin are producers on the film.

“Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On tells personal stories about people whose lives are affected by the explosion of the Internet where pornography, dating apps and virtual relationships are all just a click away. The series explores the intersection of sex and technology telling stories of intimacy, connection, disconnection, self-promotion, race and gender politics. How is establishing sexual relationships through screens now rewiring us in fundamental ways?”

Produced by Rashida Jones, Jill Bauer and Ronna Gradus, the series is an extension of the feature documentary Hot Girls Wanted, which premiered at Sundance in 2015.

“Jessica Williams (“The Daily Show”) stars as a young, aspiring playwright in New York City who is struggling to get over a recent breakup. She is forced to go on a date with the recently divorced Boone, played by Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids) and the unlikely duo discover how to make it through the tough times in a social media obsessed post-relationship universe. Lakeith Stanfield (FX’s “Atlanta”, Straight Outta Compton) and Noël Wells (Netflix’s “Master of None”) co-star. The film was written and directed by Jim Strouse and produced by Michael B. Clark and Alex Turtletaub of Beachside. Jessica Williams and Kerri Hundley serve as executive producers.”

2017 TBD: IO [Movie]

“The film tells the story of one girl’s coming of age while examining the dangers of humanity’s current relationship with the planet. Qualley will play Sam Walden, a teenager surviving as one of the last people on an abandoned post-cataclysmic Earth, who is racing to find a cure for her poisoned home world before the last shuttle off the planet to the distant human space colony leaves her stranded. Mackie will play Micah, a complicated and mysterious refugee on his way to the imminent shuttle launch who makes Sam question whether she can really alter Earth’s fate.”

Margaret Qualley (The Nice Guys, HBO’s “The Leftovers”), Anthony Mackie (Captain America: Civil War, The Hurt Locker) and Danny Huston (Wonder Woman, FX’s “American Horror Story”) will headline the character-driven science fiction film IO. The project, which was developed at the Sundance Institute’s Writers Lab and the Sundance Institute Catalyst Forum, will be helmed by Jonathan Helpert (House of Time) from an original script by Clay Jeter (Jess + Moss, Chef’s Table), Charles Spano (Embers) and Will Basanta (Jess + Moss). Berman and Rister will produce IO for Mandalay Pictures and Untitled Entertainment respectively. The film will premiere globally on Netflix in 2017.

The documentary film premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. Joshua: Teenager vs. Superpower is written and directed by Joe Piscatella (#chicagoGirl: The Social Network Takes on a Dictator).

2017 TBD: Kibaoh Klashers Season 1 [Kid’s Show]

A young beetle named Dylan realizes his destiny is to become a car racing champion in Kibaoh Klashers, a new animated series from Saban Brands. After learning of his parents’ success at the grand Battle Blades racing tournament, Dylan is eager to follow in their winning footsteps. However, when a crooked prime minister plans to use the high-profile event to take the throne of the Beetle Realm, it’s up to Dylan and his ragtag team of friends to challenge evil, win the tournament and save the world.
