Gotham Knights gives Robin a new poster
After being announced nearly two years ago, the "Gotham Knights" video game is finally coming our way in October, so the marketing machine is ramping up in a much more significant way as of late. Case in point: The Boy Wonder himself, Robin, has been given new poster ahead of the game's release. He will be just one of four main heroes patrolling Gotham City in the wake of Bruce Wayne's death, along with Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batgirl. Expect a whole lot more than just character posters in the coming weeks/months.
EA is apparently working on a new Marvel video game
What's the time? It's rumor time! On the latest episode of The XboxEra Podcast, industry insider Nick Baker dropped the news that Electronic Arts, aka EA, has teamed up with Marvel for a brand new video game. Unfortunately, Baker didn't have much else to reveal at this time, meaning that we would at best be left to hopelessly speculate. While Baker says he knows what IP the game will be based on, he refrained from giving any clues. This would not be a remotely surprising development as Marvel has been kicking it into high gear with games. We've got "Midnight Suns" coming later this year, along with "Spider-Man 2" and "Wolverine" in development for PlayStation, not to mention last year's "Guardians of the Galaxy" game. Why not throw one more on the fire?
Candice Patton returns as Iris West for The Flash season 9
While there was some fear that a deal wouldn't get done, Candice Patton will indeed be back for "The Flash" season 9. As reported by TVLine, the actress and mainstay of the series will reprise her role as Iris West once more alongside Grant Gustin's Barry Allen. It is heavily believed that this will be the show's final season, in no small part because The CW is most likely going to be sold sometime very soon. That being the case, it's all the more important to have Patton back in the saddle for what is probably going to be the last ride for Barry and Iris.

It's a little unfortunate that the first few episodes of "Ms. Marvel" were overshadowed on Disney+ by "Obi-Wan Kenobi." That said, the latest MCU series now has a free and clear path to be discovered by the masses as it moves right along. For those who are maybe looking for a reason to watch the latest episode, Marvel has released a new clip from the fourth installment in the ongoing adventures of Kamala Khan, with Farhan Akhtar and Aramis Knight at the center of this clip. Be sure to check it out for yourself above. The first four episodes of "Ms. Marvel" are now streaming, with new episodes debuting on Wednesdays.
Don't expect any multiverse shenanigans in Thor: Love and Thunder
Phase 4 of the MCU has largely been defined thus far by going all-in on the multiverse concept, with both "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" blowing that hole wide open. That said, don't expect "Thor: Love and Thunder" to pick up that baton and run with it. This, according to an interview director Taika Waititi did with Total Film (via Comic Book Resources). "We've got nothing like that in this film. This is the singular-verse," Waititi said. So there we have it. We'll have to wait until, at the very least, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" comes out to revisit the Marvel multiverse, if not until sometime in 2023.
Watch the first episode of Harley Quinn for free
Yesterday brought with it the first teaser trailer for "Harley Quinn" season 3, something many viewers have been waiting an awfully long time for. The show originally aired on the now-defunct DC Universe streaming service, but has since made the jump to HBO Max. For those who have yet to experience the acclaimed show, DC and Warner Bros. are looking to give people a little taste of the goods for free. As we can see in the above video, the first episode of the show is now streaming for free on YouTube. It's not clear how long it will be there, but the idea is clearly to get some more people hooked on the series before it returns next month. So, to those who have been putting it off, stream away free of charge while you can.
Are we getting a Legion of Super-Heroes animated movie this year?
Now here's something interesting! We learned late last year that Brian Michael Bendis was working on a "Legion of Super-Heroes" TV show for HBO Max. But is there room for more than one project centered on the super-team in this world? Well, that could be the case. According to FilmRatings.com, the MPA has rated a movie titled "Legion of Super-Heroes" PG-13, with the film hailing from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. This would seem to signal a direct-to-video effort of some kind, something we see frequently with DC films, that appears to not be the series Bendis is working on. If it is actually coming out this year, we should find out more information sooner rather than later. San Diego Comic-Con is just around the corner, after all.
Thor: Love and Thunder Classic TV spot
Lastly, today brings a new TV spot for "Thor: Love and Thunder," which is finally making its way to theaters next week. For those who are already sold on seeing the film, this may be something that is skippable. For those who are just feeling eager and want a little extra taste of what Taika Waititi has cooked up, this might do the trick as there are some choice bits of extra footage in here, including Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher, some of the Guardians in action, and Thor's new space goats. The film arrives in theaters on July 8, 2022. Check out the new spot for yourself above.
