Stan Lee has made no less than 37 appearances in movies based on Marvel Comics. But since we lost the legendary creator last year, those cameos are sadly coming to an end. Recently we heard that Avengers: Endgame will feature Stan Lee’s final cameo appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it sounds like it’ll be his last Marvel cameo entirely too.

After a long wait, the X-Men: Dark Phoenix trailer debuted last week. The response was…underwhelming. At this point, the current X-Men franchise as we know seems to have run its course, to the point where the series is doubling back on itself – retelling a story already told in X-Men: The Last Stand. The latest Dark Phoenix trailer teased the new crisis the X-Men have to contend with: Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), who starts to lose control of her telekinetic abilities. In fact, it did much more than tease. It confirmed the death of a major character. Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) will meet her end in this movie, and it’s not one of those superhero deaths that’s only temporary. In fact, it will really shake things up for all the mutants, whether they’re on Xavier’s team or in Magneto’s brotherhood. But apparently it’s not the only death we’ll see in the movie.
Director Simon Kinberg recently had an extensive chat about what’s shown in the trailer, and he revealed that there will be more casualties among this roster of mutants. He also discussed that massive train sequence and Jessica Chastain‘s mysterious character’s motivations. 20th Century Fox finally dropped the first trailer for Dark Phoenix after a long road marked by delays and lengthy reshoots. The X-Men sequel, which adapts Chris Claremont and John Byrne’s famous Dark Phoenix Saga, centers around the powerful mutant Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), whose latent psychic powers are accidentally unlocked, turning her into a dangerous and destructive force.
The first trailer gives us glimpses of the fiery swath that Jean Grey cuts through the world, harming both the X-Men who love her and Magneto’s band of misfits. But there’s still a lot of mystery left to the trailer, namely the mysterious funeral at the center of the teaser. Update: A new report has debunked the previous reports that X-Men: Dark Phoenix was set to undergo three months of reshoots. Collider reports that the X-Men sequel will go back to Montreal for additional photography for no longer than two and a half weeks. Our original story follows.
