Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure – Shout Factory’s Most Excellent Collection

George Carlin may have left us some time ago, but his role as Rufus from Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (and Bogus Journey) still lives on. And now he can sit on your shelf with a new 8 inch figure from NECA that comes as part of Shout Factory’s Bill & Ted’s Most Excellent Collection.

The Blu-Ray collection includes both movies from the sci-fi comedy franchise, the Rufus figure, an 18×24 inch lithograph designed by Paul Shipper (which will be shipped rolled in a poster tube), two 6×4 inch stickers and a Wyld Stallyns guitar pick. That’s definitely a most excellent collection, and you can pre-order it right now for $79.99 at Shout Factory.

Star Wars – Beast Kingdom Egg Attack R2-D2 and C-3PO

Adding to their Egg Attack Action line, Beast Kingdom has unveiled two new figures for R2-D2 and C-3PO. These may look like simple figures, but they’re pretty pricey at $189.99 at Entertainment Earth. R2-D2 has three extending arms, one extending life scanner, and one extending periscope, not to mention light-up function in the display, processor state indicators, and holographic projector function, including one for Princess Leia. Meanwhile C-3PO can have all his limbs scattered as if he were blown apart like in the Empire Strikes Back.

Star Trek – 50th Anniversary Barbie Dolls

Celebrating 50 years of going boldy where no man has gone before, Mattel is releasing a new set of Star Trek Barbie dolls for Captain Kirk, Spock and Uhura. They’re all dressed in the original series Federation clothing and aren’t too expensive, retailing at $34.95. They’ll be on store shelves later this month according to Entertainment Weekly.

Mike Tyson Mysteries – Mike Tyson Pin Mate

Designed in a retro style, Bif Bang Pow! has created a Mike Tyson Pin Mate inspired by the Adult Swim animated series Mike Tyson Mysteries. The wooden 2-inch figure is hand-painted and also features decals to create the blue and white sweatsuit that Tyson wears on the show, this time with red boxing gloves.

You’ll only be able to get your hands on this figure for $4.99 at San Diego Comic-Con, unless there’s any leftover, in which case you can pre-order now and hope there’s leftovers.

Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers – Funko POP Vinyl Power Rangers

After releasing the Red Ranger, Pink Ranger and White Ranger awhile back (which are now extremely rare), Funko is releasing the rest of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers this August. The fan favorite Green Ranger is finally on the way along with the Black Ranger, Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger. Hopefully you’ve got the other figures to complete the collection.

That’s all for The Toy Box this week. If you’re looking for some superhero goodies and other memorabilia, be sure to check out the third page of Superhero Bits or our recurring Cool Stuff articles.
