'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 2 First Look Teases A Dangerous Road Ahead
The first season may have literally just ended last night, but Fear the Walking Dead season 2 already has a teaser. Well, a teaser of sorts. AMC hasn't shot a single frame of the Walking Dead spinoff's sophomore season, but they can gather cast and crew together, place them in front of a camera, and let them speculate about all the horrifying, flesh-tearing mayhem that will occur next year. Non-spoiler alert: things are going to get very, very bad for everyone involved.

The season finale of Fear the Walking Dead concluded with the tiniest glimmer of hope. Maybe our motley band of heroes could escape the zombie apocalypse by sea! Because nothing bad ever happens on a boat, right? In all seriousness, this video is pretty much the extended cast and crew (including the always wonderful Kim Dickens) chatting about just how awful things are going to get for everyone. They haven't seen scripts – they just know that the world of The Walking Dead isn't afraid to transform beloved characters into zombie chow at a moment's notice.
Response to Fear the Walking Dead has been decidedly mixed. While its parent show continues to attract massive ratings and energize its passionate fanbase, the spinoff showed off some new series growing pains. Even the most diehard zombie fanatics had to admit that the show was treading on similar ground as the original series. Still, the beauty of an ongoing tale of the zombie apocalypse is that the limitations are few. If a location is getting stale, put everyone in a gated community! Or on a boat! As long as you can budget it, the possibilities are endless.
Since a second season of Fear the Walking Dead was given the go-ahead before the first season even premiered, it shouldn't come as a surprise that this teaser already exists. AMC has created a hungry monster, in the form of the Walking Dead audience, and now it must feed it. Which is why Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 also exists. Occurring concurrently with the events of the main series, this 16-part webseries takes place entirely on a turbulent flight where one passenger is infected with the zombie plague. Since this thing features the words "walking" and "dead" in its title, you know things won't end well. Those who survive (or at least whatever is left of them) are set to join the cast of Fear the Walking Dead in season 2.

Each episode of Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 will premiere during commercial breaks for The Walking Dead season 6, which premieres on October 11. Fear the Walking Dead season 2 will arrive in 2016 with 15 new episodes. In other words, AMC is banking on you, gentle horror fan, not tiring of the shambling undead anytime soon.
