Murrow Award at KOIN in Portland for breaking news coverage of deadly wildfires. Today he's a freelance journalist and film critic, writing about movies, family entertainment, and pop culture for publications including Inverse, Business Insider, and New Scientist. He also created NotAnotherKidMovie.com to help parents win family film night.

Education

Brendan earned a bachelor's degree in public relations from Western Michigan University, where he wrote for The Western Herald. He also completed a professional writing certificate through UC Berkeley Extension.
