This show serves as a sequel of sorts to the popular "How I Met Your Mother." While it will focus on a new cast of characters with a new story to tell, the same general premise is at its center, with a parent recounting to their children how they met the other parent in the family. Instead of a father telling his kids about their mother, this will be a mother telling her kids about their father, as the title implies.

Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger serve as creators and writers of the series. The duo additionally serves as showrunners.
