'Legends Of The Hidden Temple' Movie Brings Back The Original Voice Of Olmec

If you're a '90s kid who just can't wait to see what Nickelodeon serves up with the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie, we have good news. The kids cable channel has just announced that Dee Bradley Baker, the original voice of the giant stone head Olmec, will return to voice the character in the movie.

In addition to his role as Olmec, you've undoubtedly heard Baker's voice in other movies, TV shows and video games. Find out what Baker has been up to along with details on the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie after the jump.

Aside from voicing Olmec, voice actor Dee Bradley Baker has lent his voices to animated series such as American Dad!, SpongeBob SquarePants, Gravity Falls, Phineas and Ferb and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. You may have also heard his voice in The Boxtrolls or video games like Halo and Gears of War. But for many, he'll always be the guy that told you what tasks you had to complete in the Nickelodeon game show. Here's what Baker had to say about his return and the TV movie adaptation of the show:

An entire generation grew up loving Legends of the Hidden Temple. It was my first television series, and it remains one of the most popular projects I've ever been lucky enough to have been involved with throughout my career. I'm thrilled that Kirk Fogg and I can once again man the temple as Nickelodeon brings it back in a fresh new way. This rock is once again ready to roll!

However, as we've reported previously, the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie will be a narrative spin on the style of the game show with a cast that also brings back host Kirk Fogg in some capacity, as well as Transformers: The Last Knight star Isabela Moner as one of the leads alongside Colin Critchley and Jet Jurgensmeyer. Yes, those are the names of real kids apparently.

Here's how the movie is described by Nickelodeon:

The Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie follows three siblings who break away from a lackluster tour in a jungle, finding themselves immersed in a high-stakes adventure comprised of obstacles that they must complete in order to escape alive. The TV movie will feature many elements from the original game show including: Olmec, a talking head who greets cast members Noah, Sadie and Dudley, and launches them on the adventure of a lifetime; The Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and appearances from a green monkey, red jaguar, and silver snakes, among others.

Directed by Joe Menendez (From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series) and written by Jonny Umansky & Zach Hyatt, and Alex Reid, Legends of the Hidden Temple is slated to arrive on Nickelodeon sometime this fall. We'll be sure to post a trailer as soon as it becomes available.
