It's been a couple days since Jurassic World hit Blu-Ray and DVD, and that's all it took for one fan to compile all of the visual references the sequel/reboot makes to the original Jurassic Park.

Some of these we covered in our list of Jurassic World Easter eggs over the summer, but there's a lot more visual evidence now that a hard copy of the movie can be used to show them. Check out all the Jurassic Park references in Jurassic World after the jump!

Here's the video from Pablo Fernandez (via The Playlist):

This video comes from the same cinephile who brought us the visual comparisons of the original Star Wars trilogy and the prequel trilogy, as well as those of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and the original Indiana Jones trilogy. And while this mostly shows similarities between Jurassic World and Jurassic Park, there are some from the sequels that make it in there too.

For some, this will just be a cool highlight reel of how Jurassic World paid tribute to the original classic from director Steven Spielberg. But for others, this might show, dare I say, how desperate Jurassic World was to emulate Jurassic Park, and in some ways, was hindered by trying to remake the original film in a contemporary setting. Because while Jurassic World may be a sequel to Jurassic Park, it also hits a lot of the same story beats, with characters that are essentially revisions of those from the first film. Though at least B.D. Wong has taken an interesting turn after 22 years.

That's not say Jurassic World wasn't a fun blockbuster. Personally, I didn't find as much to dislike as some have, but it did seem to be missing something besides more practical dinosaur effects. It'll be interesting to see where a sequel goes, especially since it likely won't emulate The Lost World: Jurassic Park the same way Jurassic World did with the original film.
