'Spectre' Rome Filming Details; See Daniel Craig And Monica Belucci's Photoshoot

The globe-trotting shoot for the 24th James Bond movie, Spectre, continues. Director Sam Mendes is currently in Rome for a five week shoot, and to mark the occasion several photos have been shot featuring stars Daniel Craig and Monica Bellucci. See those below, as well as read some details of what exactly is happening during the Spectre Rome filming.

First up, here are just a few of the Spectre Rome filming images made available by Sony Pictures. They were taken by Vittorio Zunino Celotto/Getty Images.

Man, Spectre is going to be a beautiful and varied movie, especially when you juxtapose the above photos with these taken in Austria.

So what's happening during the five weeks the Spectre crew is going to be in Rome? A lot, according to Variety:

Set designers are at work attaching fake headstones to the museum's marble colonnade after a religious order known as the Archconfraternity of the Departed vetoed use of the city's Verano cemetary for a funeral scene.

The five-week Rome shot will also comprise a high-speed chase along the Tiber with one or more cars flying off into the river and James Bond parachuting from a helicopter onto the 15th century Ponte Sisto bridge. Other chases will reportedly be staged inside Rome's historic center in the cobblestone alleys around the Piazza Navona, near the Trevi Fountain, and in the vicinity of the Vatican, where a Fiat 500 will reportedly get crushed, possibly in a crash with Bond's Aston Martin DB10. Cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema, who worked on "Interstellar," will make ample use of drone shots.

Basically, a lot of Bond action.

Spectre, starring Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Dave Bautista and Naomie Harris among others, opens November 6, 2015. Here's the cryptic plot description:

A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
