Logo Reveal And Brief Behind The Scenes Footage From 'Transformers: Dark Of The Moon'
Just in case you thought that Transformers: Dark of the Moon couldn't possibly be the real title for the third film in the series, there's a logo to prove it, with moving highlight lens flare and everything. The image above is sourced from an ad promoting Entertainment Tonight's behind the scenes look at the film. In case you've been hungry to see raw footage of big effects explosions in Chicago (ones not captured on a phone, that is) you can see the full clip after the break.
Not too much to see here yet — flashes of stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey and even a shot of director Michael Bay. Thrilling! Plus explosions, flashes of a couple cars and a lot of urban wreckage. But where is the footage of stuff that happens on the moon? We'll probably have to wait for a trailer to see any of that.
Here's the film's plot, as recently revealed:
The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009's Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There's new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime "Transformers" character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is set to hit theaters on July 1st 2011.
