Marvel Television's NYCC 2026 Panel Live Updates: Every Major Moment And Reveal
Welcome, one and all, to the 2026 edition of New York Comic Con located in the beating heart of Manhattan. This isn't just a big moment for the festival itself, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, but for all our favorite and nerdiest pop-culture properties. If you're here for all things Marvel TV, you've certainly come to the right place (and also have excellent reading comprehension, given the giant headline giving that away right at the top). But for those who couldn't make the trek to the spacious Javits Center in all of its glory, fear not! We have boots on the ground to bring you all the latest news that you won't get anywhere else.
Today, we're kicking things off with the buzziest panel of them all: Marvel Television and Marvel Animation. Beginning at 4:15pm ET / 7:15pm PT, the studio is set to unveil all sorts of goodies tied to the small-screen superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's formidable stable. With Marvel TV head honcho Brad Winderbaum likely in attendance as our esteemed host (along with unspecified "special guests"), that almost certainly means teases and exclusive reveals tied to the upcoming Disney+ series "VisionQuest," the third (and possibly final) season of "Daredevil: Born Again," "X-Men '97," "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2" ... and maybe even an unexpected surprise or two.
You're hyped, we're hyped, and everyone lucky enough to be packed into the Empire Stage's 3,000-seat capacity room is hyped. So follow along as /Film's Jeremy Mathai keeps us all updated on this here live blog, starting shortly before the panel begins.

And with that, thanks for following along, everyone! Superhero fatigue or not, covering these events is always a thrill-a-minute experience. Terrible for my mental health, but great for our loyal /Film readers. Isn't that what it's all about? Excelsior, Marvel peeps!
-
What a way to kick off NYCC. For those who made the trek out here, there are plenty more big-name panels to come in the next few days: Avatar: Seven Havens and Star Trek and Bladerunner: 2099 among them. For those back home, hopefully this helped capture the unique vibes of what's secretly the best convention of the year (with all due respect to SDCC and D23)
-
Anyway, that's the end of the panel! Takeaways? Animation fans ate good, as the bulk of the early presentation was geared specifically for fans of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and X-Men '97. Daredevil: Born Again S3 looks VERY promising, especially for those of us left unimpressed by the last two. But VisionQuest seems like a perfect trilogy-capper for this WandaVision/Agatha All Along mini saga.
Doomsday and Secret Wars are getting all the hype, but don't sleep on Marvel TV!
-
And as if to validate my own Age of Ultron propaganda campaign, we're currently being serenaded with Danny Elfman's excellent "New Avengers" theme from the film. YouTube it, it's a banger!
-
As everyone files out, I'm actually impressed by the choice to air THIS episode in front of THIS crowd, who were clearly looking for an endless supply of aura and hype moments to geek out over. Instead, the tone of the premiere is much more offbeat and even surprisingly understated.
It's a very solid episode of television ... but, based on the vibes in the room, maybe not quite what NYCC attendees were expecting. Fascinating stuff!
-
Andddd we're back! The VisionQuest premiere is awfully fun. Plays like the quirky lovechild of WandaVision and both seasons of Loki: introspective and heartfelt and self-referential, but without getting TOO bogged down in the MCU of it all. If this episode is any indication, this show is for all of us Age of Ultron defenders out there
-
During the Daredevil: Born Again panel, Charlie Cox commented on the show's recent cancellation:
"I imagine the Save Daredevil campaign will be gearing up for Round 2."
-
Our own Jeremy Mathai is currently watching the first episode of VisionQuest with the rest of the NYCC crowd, so he'll be back a bit later with his reaction!
-
Here's the logo for Marvel's upcoming live-action spy thriller series Zodiac, which is set to begin filming in London next spring.
-
They just showed us an exclusive trailer for VisionQuest. Lots of mindscape sequences, robots in human bodies, teases of Vision's quest to save his kids, and now they're showing us the entire first episode of the show!
-
VisionQuest time. Paul Bettany takes the stage and jokes he's just been "hanging in a pub" since we last saw him in WandaVision. James Spader is also here and his voice is as silky smooth as ever. Ever the wordsmith, he sums up the experience of returning to the MCU as Ultron thusly: "Fun!"
-
Yeah, Season 3 looks like a step up in every way. Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Danny Rand assemble again. Matt Murdock is still in jail! Bullseye and Wilson Fisk are back! There's a gnarly prison fight with Matt at the center!
-
Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter are here! And, hilariously, lots of boos from the crowd when it's noted that Season 3 will be the last one. Now they're showing us an exclusive teaser!
-
The moment y'all have been waiting for: Daredevil: Born Again! Some of the Defenders are now taking the stage! Party like it's the mid 2010s!
-
Another exclusive clip: Spidey interrupts Doc Ock feuding with Norman Osborn at a fundraising event. Hijinks, fisticuffs, and an extended sequence of Spidey saving Harry from the side of a skyscraper ensues ... culminating in a Venom reveal!

-
And just like that, we're onto Spidey. Along with a Venom tease, we also have a release date: January 13, 2027.
-
Mutant/racial metaphors! Fraught border crossings! Sentinel action! A certain Rogue-ish wedding! This footage has everything.
-
And "X-Men '97" — they're showing us an exclusive clip from the upcoming season.
-
We're out here! The panel kicks off with "Marvel Zombies."
There will be an annual special from this series for the next three years:
The Winter Soldier – 2027
The Fist of Khonshu – 2028
The Last Guardian – 2029
-
The Marvel #TrueBelievers still waiting on line to get into the panel are getting a little restless. "Are we getting in?!", a lone voice just cried out plaintively. This is the good stuff.
-
... yeah, I don't think we're starting on time. As Marvel's social media manager once so memorably put it:
-
Assuming we're starting on time, which is always a risky proposition, we're only moments away! Deep breaths. Stay hydrated. Do some meditation. Yes, I'm mostly addressing myself right now. Comic Con isn't for the faint of heart, folks.
-
As for what we're actually going to see in a few minutes? Scuttlebutt (does anyone say that anymore?) points to "VisionQuest" (fingers crossed for an appearance by Paul Bettany and James Spader), "Daredevil: Born Again" Season 3 (Defenders in the flesh, hopefully?), and animated shows like "X-Men '97" and "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man."
The panel is scheduled for an hour and a half, so there's plenty of material to get through. Personally, I'm looking forward to (probable) panel host and Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum trying out some stand-up comedy.
-
Still not impressed? Geez, tough crowd. Here, have some X-Men (X-Mens? X-People? Whatever), flanked by Sue Storm
-
Looking for something more heroic? Don't worry, we've got Cap, Black Panther, Red Guardian, and Bob (of "Thunderbolts*" fame) all well represented.
-
... and his trusty, mutant-hunting, and sadly unnamed Sentinel
-
Marvel's keeping things strictly TV-focused today, so don't expect any "Avengers: Doomsday" shenanigans. But the NYCC show floor is a different matter entirely. Say hello to
Mr.Doctor Victor Von Doom ... -
Anyone care to wager on the most outlandish reveal that could possibly go down during the panel? Is this the year "Secret Invasion" finally gets acknowledged as, um, an actual thing that happened and not just a collective fever dream? Could "Agents of SHIELD" get officially canonized in the MCU? Will Kevin Feige Venmo me a cool 500 grand just for being mildly amusing on this liveblog? All equally possible!
-
Fun fact: the Javits Center is located in Hell's Kitchen. Yes, the actual New York City neighborhood of Marvel Comics fame — which isn't nearly as crime-ridden as you've probably been led to believe. (Everyone say thank you, Mayor Mamdani!) I've seen approximately 500 Daredevil cosplays this morning, but if ever there were a time and a place for the real Man Without Fear to smash through a window and spice things up ...

Greetings, nerdlings! Live from New York, it's ... well, it's Thursday afternoon. And instead of a name-brand celebrity hosting the latest episode of SNL, this is merely your humble /Film writer Jeremy Mathai reporting live from NYCC. But close enough! We're about half an hour away from all the action at the Marvel TV and Animation panel. That's just enough time to do some light stretching, grab some popcorn, and get ready to live vicariously through your favorite internet stranger (me).
