Why Did It Have To Be Snakes? First Look Inside The Ark Of 'Noah'

If you've been wondering how Darren Aronofky's film Noah will hand the whole "ark full of animals" part of the story of Noah, the photo above (seen in full below) will put the question to rest. Director of Photography Matthew Libatique posted the photo of the interior of the ark today, and we can see what looks like hints of enough reptiles to fill a couple zoos.

A larger image is below. Excited to see more of this; seems like a lot of those snares are simple set dressing, and I'd imagine that we'll see a lot of CG animals in the interior shots. And while this shot doesn't really represent what the film will look like, it's a pretty good tease.

Noah stars Russell Crowe in the title role, with Jennifer Connelly, Saoirse Ronan, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Durand and Mark Margolis. The film is scheduled for release onMarch 28, 2014.
