'What We Do In The Shadows' Trailer: Even Vampires Need To Do The Dishes

Jemaine Clement and his Eagle Vs. Shark and occasional Flight of the Conchords director Taika Waititi have teamed to produce one of the year's funniest films: What We Do in the Shadows. The comedy follows a group of vampires who live together in a New Zealand flat — it's more or less like the collision of different vampire legends and concepts in a Real World-like context. Oh, and with conflict with a pack of werewolves to spice things up. Watch the first What We Do in the Shadows trailer below.

There's no US release date for What We Do in the Shadows just yet. It continues to play festivals, and is enough of a crowd-pleaser that it must be released by someone this year. Anything else would be monstrous. Trailer via Badass Digest.

Follow the lives of Viago (Taika Waititi), Deacon (Jonathan Brugh), and Vladislav (Jemaine Clement) – three flatmates who are just trying to get by and overcome life's obstacles-like being immortal vampires who must feast on human blood. Hundreds of years old, the vampires are finding that beyond sunlight catastrophes, hitting the main artery, and not being able to get a sense of their wardrobe without a reflection-modern society has them struggling with the mundane like paying rent, keeping up with the chore wheel, trying to get into nightclubs, and overcoming flatmate conflicts.
