Twitter's Top 10 Tweeted Movies Of 2010

Twitter has released their 2010 Top Twitter Trends Analytics which includes a list og the top 10 tweeted about movies of the last year. The most talked about film of 2010 on Twitter? Christopher Nolan's Inception. Hit the jump to see the full list.

1. Inception

2. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

3. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

4. Despicable Me

5. Karate Kid

6. The Last Airbender

7. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

8. The Expendables

9. The Chronicles of Narnia

10. Paranormal Activity 2

It's interesting to see that Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was the number three most tweeted film of the year, but was still unable to gain traction to surpass $31.5 million in the United States. All of the other films on the list ranked highly on the box office charts, with exception of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader which just recently hit theaters (so its too early to tell) and Paranormal Activity 2, which grossed many multiples of it's low budget thanks to Paramount's successful social-focused marketing campaign ("Tweet your scream").

It's also worth noting that two movies made the top ten trending topics of the year: Inception at #3 (placing underneath "Gulf Oil Spill" and "FIFA World Cup", and above "Haiti Earthquake", "Apple iPad" and "Justin Bieber") and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (placing above "Pulpo Paul" and just below "Justin Bieber").
