'The Secret World Of Arrietty' US Trailer: Disney Begins To Show Off Studio Ghibli's 2010 Release

We've seen a few trailers for Studio Ghibli's 2010 film, known in some territories as The Borrower Arrietty, and in the US as The Secret World of Arrietty. But we haven't seen much from the film that features English-language dialogue. Not that it really matters with a Studio Ghibli film, as the animation is pretty enough to carry us through a trailer in Japanese.

Now Disney has released the first trailer for the US release of The Secret World of Arrietty. It looks like a good version of Mary Norton's young adult fantasy novel The Borrowers. This one is directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi and written by Hayao Miyazaki and Keiko Niwa. See the trailer, featuring the voices of Bridgit Mendler, Amy Poehler, Carol Burnett, Will Arnett, David Henrie, and Moises Arias, below.

The Secret World of Arrietty opens in the US on February 17. Check out the trailer in HD via Apple.

Residing quietly beneath the floorboards are little people who live undetected in a secret world to be discovered, where the smallest may stand tallest of all. From the legendary Studio Ghibli ("Spirited Away," "Ponyo") comes "The Secret World of Arrietty," an animated adventure based on Mary Norton's acclaimed children's book series "The Borrowers."
