'The Muppets' Theatrical Trailer #2: Hey, Look, This Movie Also Has A Story!

Disney has offered up quite a few trailer for The Muppets, but very few of them actually tell audiences anything about the story. Small point, I know, especially when the characters have been put to such good use poking fun at romcoms, The Hangover, Green Lantern and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

But if you want to (a) see more Muppets and (b) get an idea of what this new film is actually about, then this new, supposedly final trailer, is the way to go. Check it out below.

All I think I have to say about this trailer is: holy crap, that was adorable. ("We should travel by map!") I'd expect that anyone who was undecided about the movie is ready to buy a ticket after watching that one. And Neil Patrick Harris taking part in a rendition of 'Mahna Mahna'? Awesome.

Yahoo will show you the trailer in HD.

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, "The Muppets" hits the big screen Nov. 23, 2011.
