'The Judge' Trailer: Robert Downey Jr. Produces And Stars In This Family Crime Drama

Long before Robert Downey Jr. was a massive box office star and superhero, he starred in smaller, character based films. With all the Tony Stark flair these days, it's almost hard to remember the days of Chaplin, Only You, and Heart and Souls. And his next film, which we'll see before he again joins the Avengers, is back in that genre. Even more so, he produced this one with his wife, Susan Downey.

The film is called The Judge, and it opens on October 10. Downey plays a hotshot lawyer (or, so there's some Tony Stark there) who returns to his hometown only to find his father, played by Robert Duvall, accused of murder. Directed by David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers), the impressive cast also includes Vera Farmiga, Vincent D'Onofrio, Dax Shephard, Balthazar Getty, David Krumholtz, Leighton Meester and a few Oscar-winners in Billy Bob Thornton and Melissa Leo.

The first trailer for The Judge is now out. Check it out below.
