You might know Natalie Morales for her work as an actress on shows like Parks and Recreation, The Little Things, Happily, Stuber, or Bojack Horseman. But after directing several short films and multiple episodes of television, she’s making her feature debut in 2021. Her first film is a pandemic-era drama called Language Lessons, but it seems she quickly leapt to the next level with her second feature, Plan B. This one is a road trip comedy about a straight-laced high school student who attends a party, has sex for the first time, and then goes on a quest with her best friend to find the morning after pill. The duo behind The LEGO Movie and 21 Jump Street are throwing their support behind a Miami-based comedy about a Cuban-American family from actors-turned-writers Natalie Morales (Dead to Me) and Cyrina Fiallo (Good Luck Charlie).

After Anne Hathaway picks up her statue for Best Supporting Actress (Nate Silver said it would happen, so it must be true), she’ll be heading to the sunny beaches of Brazil. Or at least, she’ll be heading to a recording booth where she’ll pretend to be on the sunny beaches of Brazil.
Fox announced today that Hathaway will reprise her role for Rio 2, along with most of her Rio co-stars including Jesse Eisenberg, Jemaine Clement, will.i.am, Tracy Morgan, and George Lopez. They’ll joined by several new cast members as well, including Andy Garcia, Kristin Chenoweth, Bruno Mars, and Janelle Monáe. Learn more about the casting and plot details after the jump.
