Sinemia Offers New Family Plans On The Heels Of MoviePass's "Bring A Friend" Option

MoviePass will soon let you bring a friend to the movies, but Sinemia has released a new spate of plans that will let you bring your whole family.

On the heels of MoviePass' recently announced "Bring a Friend" feature, Sinemia family plans have been introduced by the competing ticket-buying service. Under these new plans, Sinemia subscribers can purchase plans for up to six people.

MoviePass and AMC have been ramping up their competition for dominance over the ticket-buying service industry — MoviePass introducing a sure-to-be unpopular surge pricing feature, and AMC launching its exciting new Premiere A-List plan. But, not to be forgotten, Sinemia has its own new plan to launch: the family plan.

Sinemia founder and CEO Rifat Oguz said in a press release:

"Our Sinemia for Two plans have been very popular among our subscribers, which shows that moviegoers love to go to the movies with their family and friends. Expanding this into broader Family Plans is the next logical step for us."

Last month, the Turkey-based subscription app introduced two-ticket plans for couples and friends, but today it amps up the offer. Starting today, Sinemia offers family plans that can cover between two to six people, ranging from $8.99 a month to $89.99 a month.

As you can see, Sinemia's family plans differ based on how many people are in your plan, and how many movies you see per month. Subscribers pay a flat fee for either one, two or three movie tickets each month. But with the family plans, there are four different tiers — with only the upper two tiers offering 3D and IMAX films. But subscribers will have to pay annually instead of the popular monthly basis that MoviePass offers.

You can get all of these Sinemia subscriptions if you're looking to see movies in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and Turkey. Go sign up for the original individual Sinemia subscription plans over here, or check out the Sinemia for Two subscription plans over here.
